I dont know why it just wont compile. I think there might be something wrong with the .map itself.

Why don't you take parts of your map and make each section its own map then compile each one and see if they all work, if one doesnt work correctly then there must be something wrong with that section...idk worked for me in hl2ep2 so maybe this will help ?

Jessie or anyone else intent on trying this map, it's just a text file containing the text "password: monkeyisland42", with the file extension .map. Probably part of an old forum game.
