Secret santa
Present for Scotch

This is basically a continuation of my rooms compo entry. I had to leave some areas out from the final map though, as they were not completed in time. So it's a bit rushed in places.

Explore & Enjoy!

Note: if something doesn't seem to work, try to crowbar it. Also, quicksave.

Edit:
The button for the elaborate door should now hint the player about it's usage.

Ha that was REALLY cool SpaG!

I love the thoughtful construction and detailing, and that teleportation puzzle was pretty cool too. That vault at the end is SO COOL, though i couldn't figure out how to open the door and noclipped in(i fail at puzzles). Is it the end when you activate the red button sequence, or can you escape like in metroid?

I got a little frustrated with various erroneous paths in the ducts, and ended up noclipping around a little. Also clipping is a bit sticky around some the crate areas, but i never got actually stuck, just very claustrophobic feeling -)

Great SS entry sir, and good to see you are still mapping!

I see the door is quite the problem, as noted you should crowbar the button - that will tell the door to open. I will recompile the map with a fix, seeing as people might not see the full glory of my elaborate door.
Yes you can avoid death, though it is a bit tricky, and there is an end.

Regarding crates - if you're talking about bottom floor crates, then that's what I was aiming for :-)

The ducts were supposed to connect other areas, which sadly did not make into the map, but I left them, or else the bottom floor wouldn't have enough ventilation.

Pretty much the same as CT here, except that while I didn't get stuck in the vents, I got stuck in the teleportation puzzle and spent a good few minutes running into random ones until I got through.

The way to solve the puzzle (clues) were scattered through out the map. I assume you did not find any of them. Perhaps they were not as clearly visible as they should have been.

Here are some my suggestions (spoiler alert):
1. It's hard to find right way through the ventilation without a flashlight, so it's better to give a suit at startup.
2. If you already passed through the portals before you find a crowbar, you'll get stuck, because pass will be blocked by opened door forever. So it's better if player will be able to close and open the door after passing the portals (just put a security card to operate the door or something like that). Or make the door opened to the left, without blocking the way.
3. Make an exit (end of the map) behind the door with red switch on the top floor, which can be opened after explosion.

Do you still have this, SpaG? :) Download died. TWHL can handle much bigger uploads these days, if you want to upload it here

Oskar Potatis, thanks for letting me know. Yeah I have it - reuploaded.
Also, jesus christ, this is 11 years old now. How did you notice it anyway?

Thanks for uploading it again! 👏 I'm going through the entire vault, seeing what works and what doesn't, trying to fix broken downloads and other issues. I wish I could say I was especially curious about this map, but the screenshot really doesn't do your map justice! I played it now, and it was such a surprise how enjoyable it was! It was a really fun puzzle, and you put a lot of work into the ending! Thanks again for making me and everyone else able to play this after all this time!
