Well this is my first map, i made it in ~3 weeks (but i had a lot of practice before)
it has an oval shape with 4 "pockets" on the sides, it also has a lot of boxes xD

EDIT(june 19th): i made it more realistic using captain terror's guidelines, i also used VHLT and NULL this time so it looks much better and the size is reduced a lot. i also used multi manager for ambient_generic and game_text
and ive removed the ugly signature in the map center xD

The layout and structures seem like they would lend themselves to some fun gameplay.
-this type of map is not about looks, but if you wanted to spice it up, try thickinging the upper deck so it looks more natural, and add some rock or wood beams underneath to support it, and maybe some columns here and there.
-add some sounds. a looping rain and/or wind would fit perfect.
-just btw, the ornage crates are supposed to be exploadable

also, everything they (and you) say about VHLT (lots of advantages) is true, its easy to make a good looking lightning with it i tried using it after uploading this map (compiled with ZHLT) and it looks so smooth (you will see)
about the orange crates: just imagine that they are empty or that the explosives are wet and cant activate xDD
i need help regarding game_text: can i use trigger_auto for its triggering? i tried but it doesnt work
