Entry for The Mighty Atom's Mini Compo.

Wasn't able to get to any real function, it's pretty much just aesthetics.

"couldn't open map1_textures.wad"
Not sure if this is only on my side or something else?

+I really liked that you increased the vertical height of the area and added a second catwalk/bridge.

+I also liked the truss system you came up with and the color palette, brown/orange and blues worked nicely together.

+Semi wheel chair accessible. An elevator could have been added to make it entirely so.

+Sexy shadow work with tons of lights and nicely placed props.

+/-Hand rails were awesome but weren't added to the catwalks?

-I felt the HEV suit was unnecessary.

-You could have added glowing sprites to the lights.

-Some miss aligned textures.

-Absolutely no ambience! :(

Really great entry, good luck!

Thanks, Zeeba! Maybe if I get some extra time before the deadline (doubtful) I'll work on those low points. :D

@Lajron: Hm, can anyone else confirm this? I made sure to only use halflife.wad and zhlt.wad textures (Sledge's filtering is great), and the map loads fine for me without the supposed problem wad.

Confirmed! ;)

Grr. Seems map1_textures (a file that I have no idea why I have, nor why Zeeba didn't have issues) has textures named exactly the same as some in halflife.wad, and I guess Sledge was a bit confused during compile.

Anyway, removed the problem wad from my folder and recompiled, updated the file, should be without issue, now.

Works now!

Really Really dig the style of this!

Very meticulously put together, and some really fine brushwork trims and beamwork in particular, but everything is top notch.

Looking up at that ceiling and taking it all in, makes me think you could have very easily made this a futuristic space freighter bay, or other various sci-fi themes! Clean, meticulous, beautiful work! =P
