It only takes one person to do or suggest it, and everybody else will fall in line and follow. It's sort of like the "wave" thing in a baseball stadium, have you ever seen that?

it's in mild protest of the fact that as pointed out in this thread, Britain is going in the right direction to make V for Vendetta come true.

Actually everyone wanted to wear said masks, but realized no one would see it over the internet, so they decided to put them on their avatars instead. They're just REALLY bored.

The masks are there for the sole reason that some person will have somehow missed one of the most active recent threads, and ask questions about it.
