This was my first map, that i'm now rebrushing and texturing a little bit here and there. When I first started this I knew nothing of VM, nor much of Hammer for that matter--and still have much to learn!
This map is based on a small resort in Lake George, NY by Tea Island--present day.
-added primitive lighting
-updated tennis court and screen door--more realistic
-Reduced R_speeds by scaling textures and fixing bad brushes
-tweaked windows/experimenting with them
-removed rubber rafts
-tweaked main road and it's textures

Thanks for comments C_man. You should have seen it before I simplified the lodge architecture, shrunk the entire map, scaled up textures, and added vis-blockers. It was way, WAY worse. Thanks againe for the input!

brill for a first map... of course not as good as your current stuff but still good.
