i wonder how many of those pages have to do with water striders, or the half life striders. Maybe strider isn't as popular as 6,990,000 pages would suggest

Peace through power!
Thats a picture of the first level of the cinemod, in the next levels ill show the inner workings of the tower, followed by climbing into a bomber and riding up through the pit in the center of the tower, and arriving on one of the pads. =)
Im also contemplating how to make a satisfying sequence of the bomber performing its main function, bombing the GDI into submission >:D

haha, i never remembered the exact day i first started mapping. I know i was 11 years old, bored, sitting on the couch reading the hl1 manual, and read about worldcraft, then tried it. i dont remember the exact date.
Eventually i found twhl and it freed me from the dark ages that were fullbright square maps

This mod, was definatley the best mod i have ever played. It puts valve's "half-life" to shame.
The gameplay was purely amazing! The keycards were a little repitive, but they made sense. The battereis though, they were too duracell-like
I really "knew" the character. The part where you get fired! awesome! The hallucinations, awesome! It kept me playing until the end (skipped dinner that day) and when it ended, i was thinking "no!!! i want more!!"
The detail, and the realism was unbelievable, even if there were a few incorrect rendered vents/grates
Words cannot describe how awesome this mod is, or how much work it must have taken. I worship you as a mapping god.
10000000 stars........oh wait, you can only go to 5? oh well

eh, i played this mod 4 times, and, to be honest, i did not like it very well. From the start, i did not understand the story, and i never got any hint of the story in the rest of the game. If i may compare this mod to "lifes end" on this site, i would point out how you really knew your character in "lifes end", from getting fired by the boss, to your character thinking out loud, it really gave you a sense of who you were playing as, and giving you a reason to progress, and protect your character. I did not get the same feeling in timefall, i literally forgot the characters name by the end.
The combat was not all that good, the fights with the aliens were the same thing every time, and the army fights were not implemented in a strategic combat way.
The sniper rifle, while a good idea, was poorly implemented. I noticed that, upon firing the rifle, it took a 2 second delay to hit medium to far away targets, and i realized that this, was because it was just a remodel of the crossbow! - 1 star for that, that really dissapointed me.
The architecture, was repetitive, and boring, and some things just didnt make sense. The texturing was dull, but that wasnt very bad.
The puzzles, gah, the puzzles really annoyed me. They were the same thing over and over, look around for a paper thin ledge, and follow it, open a door, backtrack, activate something, progress. :/
And really, i expected this NOT to be in a mod as highly reviewed as this, the barney said "open fire gordon", now i may have forgotten the characters name, but i know for a fact that it was not gordon. :/ -1 star
This also disapointed me, getting the crowbar, and the shotgun, BEFORE the HEV. Yet you could see the HEV sleeves on your player, thats just not right. - 1/2 star
The only things i really liked, was the time travel sequence, and the clever parts where you saw gordon.
This mod was much less than i expected it to be, i was really disapointed. 2.5 stars, rounds to 3.
I had to play this twice, just to comprehend the awesome magnitude of its awesomeness!!!
But really, this mod is tied with "life's end" as my favorite mod. The architexture was great, i had to reload because i missed what the scientist said, because i was marveling at the architexture
Gameplay was awesome, amazing use of scripted sequences.
The part where you could see the garg through the hole in the wall, made me shiver. Pure awesomeness, as was the garg fight scene.
The parts where the cieling supports broke, or something fell, were amazing, i cant imagine how much time it took to do that
yeah, i followed the installation instructions to the letter, but they dont work on any of my three computers, they all had 9 gb space, so space is not an issue, i re-downloaded like 5 times, i gave my friend the link to download, and he cant get it to work on his 2 computers, the only thing all these computers have in common, is that they all have the HL games from the Half-life platinum pack, so we are not using steam (not for HL1 at least) Please dont tell me im going to have to live my life without playing this mod :/
yes, Hlife_hotdog's "xen crystal" and "fathom 2.5"
however 3 other mods, including this one, i have not been able to install successfully. However, i dont see any reason why any of them should act differently
ok, does it have to be in program files? because i have half-life in C:/games/half-life on one of my other computers, but it still wont load after hitting new game

What can i say? this map is great, too bad im not a huge fan of half-life multiplayer. As was said before, the architecture, lighting and ambience combined to make an awesome map.
btw, this killed my map test computer, i had to move it over to my mapping computer (which is about 3 times faster) just to play it
Hmm, when i start a new game, it has the loading screen forever, and i do mean forever, i let it sit there 2 days loading....any idea whats wrong? i absolutley HAVE to try this mod

ok, i finally got a chance to play this. For the first mod, its really great, and it already kicks the crap out of anything i could possibly do.
I liked the gameplay, the only things i had problems with were visuals, architecture, textures (some textures seemed out of place), and deatil could have been improved, but, then again, it always can Some of the puzzles though, i must point out, looked as if they were placed by the mapper, let me explain. In half life, all the puzzles were created by one feature of the facility, clashing with another, and reacting naturally because of the disaster (like electrified water, or spilled barrels etc) Most of your puzzles lacked this realism. While were talking about realism, i must comment on the beginning parts of the map, when you have to use the levers to open grates and such? Well, i had a hard time trying to think of where i was in the facility, or what puropose that area could possibly serve. In general, the map seemed created around the puzzles and gameplay, instead of putting the puzzles in a realistic part of the facility. Its a difficult thing to explain, but its that realism that gave Half-life its rich gameplay
overall, the mod could be improved, but its a good piece of mapping. I give the mod 4 stars, because the interesting story and exciting gameplay made me forget some of the more lacking aspects of the visuals,
Have teh happy birthday
And the mammoth mark 2 shouldve stayed. My fav unit
I like how the ion cannon was improved in C&C3, so its more realistic instead of being like a two building destroying "superweapon" like in TB
I still think Kane is much cooler than cabal will ever be =P
What didnt you like about c&c3?
Im worried about how they're going to make the storyline in RA3 interesting...i mean, it cant be ANOTHER soviet invasion....can it?
i guess we'll have to wait and see.
I liked the cinematic sequences and storyline in Tib sun, but i thought game play was pretty poor.
The fact that you thought C&C was better than C&C3, i don't really know what to say to that =/

You may not want to just copy paste my door, try to learn the entity setup so you can make different knob styles, and different door styles.
Glad to see you found it helpful

why cant i ever get a single mod to work :/
i cant use C drive because its full, is this the problem? Does it HAVE to be in C:program files?
