Happy Birdday!

@DS: Why yes, yes I do. I'm a beginner though.
I joined TWHL after I decided to learn, I've known about this place for awhile (around 3 years) but I only recently saw the light and came into the mapping world. I haven't really finished anything yet, I'm working on something that probably shouldn't be worked on for a beginner.
Luckily my teacher has gotten better at teaching. =P

You should update it, I mean, I use my dA as a progression meter too see the evolution of my art style and ability.

@Tets0: I like Paint.net for my lines and pixel based work. Gimp has a better range of tools for colouring though.... It could just be me liking multiple different programs to do things (for some reason I like doing that >-> No clue why though).

@Tetsu0: I have a Wacom Bamboo Gen 3, annnnnnnnnd, I don't like using it... I'm a Traditional Artist at heart, and I only started digital end of last year, bought a tablet beginning of last year. I sketch things Trad then just line and colour dig. using either Paint.Net or Gimp 2 (Free Programs)(Not interested in buying better programs these ones do exactly what I need for now.)

I got donate $1000 from some random to give away Premium Memberships, points and other dA merchandise and host contests... That was like 1 and 1/2 years ago. Great guy, a lot of people tried to take advantage of him so he left the community.

@Archie: Yeah, within the last year dA has been concentrating on the commission side of things. Though they have been failing... (The take 10%, so no one has been using their way.)

I worked at a photography shop as an assistant for awhile, boss was a bitch but it was SOOOO much fun. I love doing photography, though I'm more into Nature and b/w neg portraits then normal people pictures.
Weddings are worth all the boring clique stuff though, there is so much money in it. XD

Depends what it is. I range from $1 - $20 (AUD) base prices, depending on the style. Then additional charges for extra characters, backgrounds, Soft Shade or Cell shade, animals.... There are a lot of variables.

People like making things complicated so we go out and spend money on people who can do it for us. It sucks XD

You are seriously brave, most men probably won't tell there close friends about this. So to do this with so many complete strangers around is just... Amazing.

I know how Lyssa feels about the whole not wanting to pass on genetic illnesses.
My oldest sister has Tuberous Sclerosis, and my middle sister has eplipse... Which could just be a sympton of something else (they actually don't know exactly what she has yet it could be T.S., we're unsure), and the chances I could pass on those genes too my children is extremely high.

I want children in the future but I'm going to go the safe way and get screened and right now that actually costs around $4000 ~ (USD) (No way I'll have that money anytime soon, good thing I don't want children anytime soon X) ).

I say good on you for being a wonderful man for your lady and having the balls to do this. And I hope you two have a lovely future~ And just think if you adopt you'll be making one or multiple kids very VERY happy. ;P

Ah, women are made of confusing emotional turmoil that for some reason men can't understand... Sorry about the silly woman, and sorry if this kinda is a kick to the stomach.

Usually, when a woman gives an excuse that is "Its not you, its me." it usually means, you are a awesome person, I like you because you've done all this but I don't think I could do the long term thing. It's kinda a womans way of going "It's been fun, but I'm going to go find a different person to go lead around for awhile."

Doesn't mean you shouldn't try though, if she does mean something too you, try (if she's truly interested she will think this is sweet and think you are "the perfect man for her"). But know when to back off. If you try one or two times more and its fruitless... I would suggest moving on because it probably was an above situation.

But hey, you could get an awesome female friend out of this, and she may have friends. X)
