Holy s**t. Members are leaving. Crappy maps in the map vault. Noobs everywhere. This is the fall of TWHL.
My story about the city was in the threads, but it'll be hard to find soon, so I will tell it here:
Once apon a time, there was a small town somewhere in the world. The land around the town was beautiful, so many people came to see it. But, one day, some people discovered gold within the dirt. The word spread of this gold and many more people came to the town. Before the people living already in the town knew it, the new people built huge factories everywhere to harvest the gold. They built big apartments near the factories, which left the old part of town in ruins. Huge buildings were everywhere, getting gold constantly and constanty. But, the more gold they found, the less the quality became of the land around it. Soon, the town was a city, and nobody even knew about the old town except for the oldest people in the city. The gold started to run out, and when it did, the old people looked around and saw what their beautiful surroundings had become of: a huge, dirty, polluted city with people everywhere. The city was so crowded, that the old people started to leave the city, grieving over what it had become...
And that is the story of TWHL...
The city symbolizes TWHL website, the people are it's members, and the land is the maps. The factories are the tools used to create the maps, while the apartments are forums. The old people being the senior members of the site. All the new people that came to the city were newbies that didn't care for the quality of the site.
I'd like to sum this up with a quote that many great people have used:
"All great things must come to an end."
