Well, it's time to introduce myself.
My name is Andrey "LaZermaniac" Bolgov. I am Russian, and I am 15. Ok. I'll tell you an epic story on how I started mapping.
It all began when I met this guy, named Nick, who was drawing something on a piece of paper. It was a test in my English class and apparently we both finished it. I asked him, what was he doing and he told me that he's working on a Half-life map. I, having just finished the HL single-player, got interested and started asking questions. It turned out he was working on a NatSel map, and I
really suspect that it was ns_lost. I remember trying to get him to add a dropship there and him telling me that that would have a big face count. After that, he gave me links to the Handy Vandal's Almanac, a link to the Valve ERC and a link to ZHLT. Back then i was already screwing around with game models (still can't forget my garg-sized snarks and snark-sized gargs, done with HL Model Viewer dB-| ) So i decided to start making HL maps. I am thinking on putting my first map online for people to admire how much I sucked back then. I officialy started making maps in October 2002. So here is my life story.
I am currently working on several things:
-Making maps for a dead MOD, Scientist Slaughterhouse.
-Making a small Spirit-based mod (no coding, as I can't code).
-Trying to get through high school (I am a sophomore).
Anyway, I am also on the XEN REBELS development team, and if you check the prefabs section, the Xen Mines is my work.
