Hey! It's my birthday today! Yep, that's right Tetsu0 is turning 20 Years old today. How am i celebrating? Resees puffs and fruit loops for breakfast, and i took the day off from work!

Actually i still have school today, but it's only til noon, then i gotta party to attend. Still gotta wait one more year to (legally) drink. But I can wait.

YAY! A new competition has come to TWHL. I can say that the time it took for this compo to arise was way shorter than usual. To be honest i expected another month before i could start mapping for a compo again.
Anyway.
If anyone was paying attention to me before when i said i was done with goldsource after the remake a game compo, good for you, because i lied.
This compo will be goldsource as well.
I'm afraid to move to source
my computer doesn't like it and the entities give me headcaeks.
Oh and i finally figured out why my maps aren't really amazing. (They're good i guess) But i don't spend the extra hours at the end of the mapping process to really polish the map with detail and lighting. So i hope i can do that with this compo.
Even if it's a mind-fuck-map i still want it to look pretty.

I might get signed to a major record label within the next year!
A band from the BOSTON area is in need for another guitarist and they want me to join 'em. They have contacts with 3 major record labels. Hollywood records, Universal Records, and RoadRunner records.
Oh GOD i can't wait to take a road trip up there. Hopefully next week.
And i have youtube to thank!
They said they wanted someone who liked breaking benjamin (ME) and who had a decent sound and equipment (ME) and someone with a decent amount of skill and lives in the northeast (Also ME)
So they saw a few of my videos and i got an email from the drummer and they wanna check me out.
And they kicked out their old guitarist because he was too emo. So i'm thinking i'm gonna like these guys.

That's right.
Positive Chaos made it to mainstream radio.

So after a shitty day I come home to wonderful news!
I had to leave the Ochos Rios Sunset Grande resort this morning at 11am
Leaving behind free food, booze and a wonderful female I met from London.
Nothing happened, but she was a blast to hang around with. So the plane-ride sucked then we had to deal with customs and my bag got randomly searched and they checked every nook and cranny of every article of clothing i owned for weed. They even checked the inside brim of my brand new Red-stripe hat.
So customs was a bitch and the busride also sucked because first, i had to deal with new-york traffic, then my iPod died right in the middle of "Cumbersome" by Seven Mary Three But it was all right because i was about 20 min from home.
And i didn't get a tan because it was cloudy all fuckin day. Every day.
But im home, and the compo is extended! Happy day.

Well penguinboy extended the competition, but i don't get to benefit from it much. Saturday morning i will be leaving for Jamaica and will not be able to finish everything i wanted to finish for my competition entry. I will be away for a week, and the deadline is smack in the middle of the week i will be away from this country, and a mapping-capable computer.
It's sad really. I've been making so much progress, and i actually have been working on this through out the entire time period instead of just in the last week. (like my previous 2 entries)
And i STILL run out of time.
I guess that's my luck though.
I'm just going to truncate the levels, debug everything, and ship it out Friday evening. I guess all those easter eggs will have to wait until after the comp and i release EVERYTHING i wanted in the mod with it to the general public. Daubster did offer to help code in the fog as well. Which would have been a huge HUGE visual boost. But due to his own problems combines with my crappy schedule the help came a wee-bit to late.
Sigh
And for those who offered to beta test; I'll be happy to let you guys test the final product after the competition is over.

Man.... I hate my minute lack of hygiene. I don't go to the dentist for one year and i had 2 impacted 3'd molars (A.K.A wisdom teeth) re-arranging the bottom row of my teeth to look basically like a carpenter's saw blade.

Tuesday morning i got my four wizzies pulled out and I was out of commission for the better part of 5 days. Stuck eating pudding, High-protein-milkshakes, canned peaches, and mashes potatoes. I had to call out of work 4 times and I'm pretty sure my managers hate me.
The only good side was the medication they put me on
Valium and Oxycodone

An hour after popping those pills and i'm flying high and not feeling a thing.
Of course the second both of them wear off i wake up in an immense amount of pain from having the same re-occuring dream of being thrown off of the final destination stage By Giga-Bowser from Smash Brothers Brawl (that's because it's the only thing that's been keeping me sane this week)
Oh and i have to go back into the orthodontist's place of hellsurgery to get my stitches out that he never told me he put in in the first place...
SO
No work got done on my map. Thankfully i only have about 30% more work to do. BUT the bad thing was, i was really counting on this week to to that 30% of the work because it was my spring break.
And i spent it in my bed

bleeding
playing Wii
and wishing my doc gave me more pain meds.
