As the story goes, I once had 3ds Max 8 working for a while on my pc, by the time I was getting comfy with it, the registration screwed up, permanantly locking the program from use.

I know, get a registry cleaner. I did, and it didn't work.

Ok... so get a legitimate version. I did, I got max9 and it worked for a short while then fell under the same set of errors. That was a waste of a good chunk of money.

I've reinstalled it several times under different conditions and even turned back the clock on my system. Nothing seems to work.

I bought a new windows disc, but my laptop doesn't read the disc, tried it on my roomy's comp and its fine so its not the disc. Another fine waste of money. At Least I have a spare windows xp disc.

So... I decided to work at school... until they switched to max9 on me in the middle of doing some weapons for Sajo and the Xen Assault mod. Even then, the only available comps are Macs.

Here's my last plea, since registry with max8 and max9 are messed up, I was thinking of resorting down to Max7, one version before Autodesk took over with the stingy activation stuff. My plugins and stuff will still work and I may continue to model for HL. The stuff I would do for school would be done in school, so this is focused strictly on game content. Even then, Gmax would be nice if someone has the installer for that. It was taken off the internet a while ago and I can't find it.

So the question is, who can get me max7? I'm out of options and I cant look for torrents at school, plus everything is filterd.

I hate bringing this up in this context, but I did and can again host max8 for people to grab. I did it for no reason really, and I would like a favor returned even though I am well aware of the rules on this site about warez and cracks. Even then I still hosted max8.

i know no one is gonna read this long rant of complaining so fuck you too.

I found Gmax on Fileplanet, i'm gonna see how that works and maybe do something...
