Oh the tragedy! I feel like the world is coming to an end! This story is having a huge twist so early! Nothing in my life will be the same after this! And I still refuse to accept that... I'm going bald.

Hair naturally falls off, but this time it's not growing back. It's been over a year since I first noticed something wasn't quite right. The forested area is still the same, however it's density that has significantly decreased - especially in the last two months or so. I look at the mirror and I can see my scalp and each individual hair. It has even acquired the same colour than the rest of my face. I'm trying to get used to the idea that in a year, my head will be as shiny as a bowling ball. I try to convince myself that Jason Statham gets all the chicks, but my mind replies it's the accent.

Further proof that this hasn't been a particularly great year for me.

Is it just a receding hairline right now?
Sorry to hear that you're so upset.

@ashephard: I'll consider that, thanks.

@SM: The edge hasn't moved. Just the density. It just makes me sad, I have good memories of this hair!

How old are you? If you're under 30, you should probably see a doctor.
Tough break, man. :(

Sorry if this botters you, but are you feeling like most of the time you're full of testosterone ?( like the need to masturbate, I"M NOT SAYING SOMETHING ABOUT MASTURBATION, I'm only asking if you feel like making sex).

Nah, sometimes it's just genetic. Or maybe it's lupus.

Just know you aren't alone. At all.
I've had a receding hairline for probably 3 years now.

@Jeff: I'm 21. It's not good to know you'll be bald by the time you're 23.

@Striker: I AM A STALLION! No, I mean... what the hell? Not "releasing" it would cause baldness? (tell me you're sure, sounds like a great excuse to fuck every chick at uni)

@SM: I don't know what lupus is exactly, but I don't think it's that. So it might be genetic, I have a couple of bald specimens in my family (but many more with more hair than a lion). How old are you?

The lupus thing was a House joke.

I'm 20 closing in on 21 now, and my hair started to recede around early 18. I can thank my dad's side of the family for it.

Ah, I suspected that. But I'm not a House follower so I wasn't sure.

Wow, 20? I think you beat me. Well, let's see who ends up bald first. We're on different paths to it!

No, this is serious. It's complicated and I don't remember right, but increased levels of testosterone results in an increasing quantity of another hormone that has this effect on your scalp.

But I'm not saying this could be the cause though, I'm not a doctor.
