Habboi HabboiSticky White Love Glue
[Edit] - I got this one. http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/mice-pointers/mice/devices/5845

Hey, I need your help again tech people.

I need to replace this shitty mouse that's old, dirty and not good for my wrist.

But choosing a mouse is difficult and I don't know the good ones so can you tell me which ones you recommend. Price isn't an issue yet but I am gonna spend ?200 on a new monitor so I don't expect to go above that.

I want a USB wired with mouse 1, 2 and middle button. Never really use the other buttons on the side.

Depends on what you want, really. Do you want a gaming mouse, do your prefer wired or wireless, and do you prefer ergonomic or ambidextrous mice? How many buttons should it have?

Instead of asking people what their favourite (i.e. their current) mouse is, provide some parameters so that people can actually help!

I've had good times with my G9
Incredibility ergonomic, amazing feel to it, and it comes with removable weights too.

I got mine pretty cheap, but it costs anywhere from 60-100 USD. - Not sure what the conversion is.

The middle mouse button is hard to click at first but you get used to it quite fast.

I would like a wired mouse that suits long extended use and reduces pain in the wrist / finger area. Really I mainly use it for gaming / modelling / photoshop and level design.

SO based on that it sounds like I want a mouse that fits snug in my hand, works well as a gaming mouse and allows extended use.

sounds like the G9. It's wired. and is nice and big. Fits comfortably in my hand.
When i use other mouses, they're all sucky in comparison :(
The wire has a low-friction coating on it too so it wont bind or snag on stuff. its neat - pretty legit.

Alrighty that sounds good to me. I'll see if anyone thinks they can top that.

Logitech is definitely the best option for comfort and practicability. Razer make incredible gaming mice which start to cramp your hand after 20 minutes and Microsoft have a range of really comfortable mice which have absolutely rubbish DPI levels and no programmable buttons.

the Logitech G5 is the most comfortable I've used out of the G3, G5 and G9. (I own the G3 and G5 and the LAN centre where I used to work had G9s) and you'll struggle to find anything as solidly built.

Edit:
Don't buy from Amazon, there are better deals out there. I just linked to those for ease.

It's all subjective - personally, I find Logitech gaming mice very uncomfortable as they are all in the ergonomic style, which I can't use at all. The way I hold my mouse (apparently known as the "claw style") means that I basically need an ambidextrous mouse to be comfortable. Razer is the only company I know of that make decent ambidextrous mice, so I tend to favour them.

(Edit: I stand corrected, Huntey's G3 link above seems to point out one of the few ambidex Logitech mice. Think it's an old model though, so it'd be hard to find.)

Point I'm trying to make is that you can't rely on the biased opinions of others to make your own decision - because there's a possibility that it might be the exact opposite of what you want. You should have a look around, try some mice out, and see which one you like best. A mouse is not something like a monitor or CPU that works exactly the same for everyone.

Well put Penguin.
See if there's a best buy or a staples (if you have them around you) or any old electronics store.

See if they have a bunch of mice out on display for you to use and see if you like.

I'd recommend the G5 as well. It's comfortable, and while there's enough weight for me to use without anything added, it comes with more should you want it. It has extra buttons, and while I don't usually use them, they have come in handy for things like Gmod in the past.

I use a G5, I'm satisfied with it.

I think I'll try and get a feel for the G5 someplace. Maybe PC World or something.

I wrote an in-depth review with bright, colorful pictures of the G5 in an old journal post of mine. I highly recommend it.

Good luck with it Habboi, I had a similar one to that and hated it. The funky shape threw my hand for a loop.

Tetsu0: I did and it works wired funny enough but I think I'll try wireless for a change.

Naserve: My old teacher had one of these and when I first used it I actually said wow out loud and that's rare coming from me.

I have the very same mouse, and I love it. It looks totally oddball but it fits my hand so well, and it's great quality, so it's making me want to take special care of it. Haha.

The only downside is I use it wirelessly and find myself having to charge it more frequently than I think you should.
