New HL game announced?

I really am hoping for Half-Life 3, but it will probably be something like Half-Life: Barney or Opposing Force 2: Electric Bogaloo.

I highly doubt Valve will build upon the Gearbox expansions or give them sequels.
If I were to guess, I'd say they might announce some new hardware or if it's a game it'd be something HL universe adjacent at most.

I admire the optimism of almost half of the people who have voted here...

Announce? Yes.

Announcing perhaps. Releasing most certainly not. That's very unlikely.

Who cares? HL died after the first game anyway

Seems like Valve's been waking up lately. Also STALKER 2's release felt like blowing up the Nova Prospekt - might spark a resistance

That's what you already do in HL2, in chapter Entanglement (the teleporter blows up after you and Alyx escape with it, destroying Nova Prospekt)
