i think that the comment or time before rating is a bit extreme but i think a comment is 100% necessary for a rating and only one rating per person as not to spam.
I knew you used controllers, but will the guardians still have that giant homing-electric-ball-of-death thing that the controllers send out? Because those suck.
LOL!! I was kidding about the rocket launcher. I know there's no weapons, but those 2 guardians seemed a bit much. I didnt notice you kill them in the video? Was that when you rotated the block into the guardian?

Maybe if you click on the picture of a compo, it links to another page with some information about the entries. maybe include links to the map downloads incase anyone wants to check one out. Like what day the compo opened/closed. Who won. ect ect. Include a 'back to main' button on that page.
You should use a func_tracktrain and 2 path_track entities. The first is the starting position, and the second, mess with the pitch and yaw variables. If you make the ship a func_tracktrain and tick the 'no user control' flag, you should be fine. and if the entire ship IS the playing field, might i recommend just a light environment, or a light_spot with 'is sky' set to 'yes'

wow dave calm down. it was a huge party i had. everyone crashed for the night and when i woke up i was banned from cs 1.6 servers. my buddy tom downloaded them (he plays as `exile and i play as Tetsu0, naturally) thats actually when i started to map for cs. because i couldnt play
When i compiled my map with HDR settings, all my lights are wierd looking. There's a spotlight in a cave and when the light hits the generator its completley white, and in dark areas my fingernails glow white and my glock (or any gun) is sort of a greenish tint to it.
Did i forget something because i dont want to mess with stuff the HDR compile takes too long to really mess with.
If you use reflective textures in your map, regardless if you use an env_cubamap or not, you still have to buildcubemaps at the start of the test after each compile.
After i did that, i restarted my map like 30x and it was back to normal.
EDIT: i did that and it still meses up on a different map. i just dont know anymore >.<
Argh i fixed it! I cant beleive i missed that.... when i made my displacements, basically it was 2 cliffs. 2 stacked on top of one another. i made them in an 'L' formation and i made the sky brush also in the 'L' formation, but i had no other brush behind that, only under it. explains it all.
now that i had the problem fixed, my counterstrike hasnt been bugging out on me anymore.
here are my system specs anyway.

Ok I started mapping for source because i have a machine that can handle it finally, and my college courses are starting to calm down. So i imported my de_inca map to source to re-vamp it and i started making displacements at the terrorist spawn points and everything started going haywire...
I made sure i closed off the area where my displacements were but the compile log still says there's leaks. i even made the displacements invisible, rechecked, ran it, and there were still leaks.
Sometimes before i would go to open a map, my cs:s menu would disappear i can still roll over and click things (i heard the tick) but i couldnt see them. Also when i ran the game, the sky would be grey and i could see the corners of the skybox, my hands and gun were black and i had no HUD. yet if i turned on my flashlight, everything instantly came back, and remained back to normal.
Another thing, my water isnt rendering either, it's just a hole into the floor that i can see. you can shoot it and see the splash yet its not rendering the surface, or the ground beneath..
ok my computer hates me then. I run css, open the map. theres no water rendered yet it splashes. i accidentally hit that little windows button near Alt and i minimize CS:S When it comes back up the water is back. WTF!?
