Oh well, I just found with my experiments thats its faster and I can't seem to get Zoners tools working for me. It never wants to do texture lighting for some reason. I've probably missed something stupid though.
Ooooo I'd have to disagree with u there seventh. Leslie Nelson and Charlie Sheen have been in MUCH more funnier movies than that (E.G. Hot Shots! 1&2 and Naked Gun). Also the architect thing was ok but it had been overdone (MTV Movie Awards 2003 had a full Matrix sendup with lots of footage. Check the Matrix Reloaded DVD, it should be on the second disc). Sorry Seventh I did not really like it. Had its moments but i have seen better
Here ya go, a place to put all ur fave Anime/Movies/TV Shows. Has to be suitable nothing disgusting or wrong. Anywho! Here we go! I rather liked Bubblegum Crisis 2040 and Dragonball Z aint too bad (not gr8 though) Simpsons (of course!), Seinfeld (BUT OF COURSE!) I can't be bothered posting movies! So come all!
Batch Compiling is a MUCH better way of compiling maps. Why? Simply because it is more detailed and gives a far wider range of options than the Compile process in Hammer. You will need a program to do this, the most popular, i think, being HLCC (Google it). I use one called TBCC which can be found at www.gracelessland.com Batch compiling is an excellent way to compile high detailed maps. It gives much more options for lighting, geometry, etc. And yes it is much faster
WOW! U kno whats interesting, we were discussing PC's and that in my IPT class and all the old stuff. For example when computers came with 10meg hard-drives and then someone would go and buy a 40 meg one and people are like "You'll never fill it! NEVER!". Its amazing, its moving so fast!
Sweet! (Haven't we done this before? It turned into a spam thread...) Anywho! Pentium 4 1.5ghz 512DDR RAM, 4x DVD Drive, 8x, 4x, 32X Creative CD Burner, nVidia GeForce 4 Winfast A 180 DDR T 64DDR and a AGP 8x. Not to bad and, like seventh, am formatting soon so bye bye all the crap on my pc including screwed operating systems!
I think that the two are unconparable (is that a word?) The only way I can play MP games is on my GC and I think it is HEAPS better than on a PC. Too much work to do on a PC, need 2 comps (at least), then networking or LAN etc. For a console, plug in an extra controller and u can laugh along together.
I've never played over the net though (with my crappy connection) so i don't really know what the experience is like. However I don't really like the idea of playing with ppl u don't kno, its not as fun as beating ur mate or something.
Just a matter of what u like. I love SP on PC and consoles but for MP its just consoles for me
Just to divert back to the topic for a moment, try mapping real life things. I think ur skilled enough to make em look really accurate and its quite fun. My map 'Castle' is based on a real life castle.
I think (not sure) that your friend needs a copy of the wad as well. So if im right, give the custom wads to ur friend for him to put in his folder. For Half-Life for example C:/SIERRA/Half-Life/valve (Haven't got a clue for CS) Anywho im not too sure here but try it anyway and if im wrong, someone correct me
Well not at the moment anyone. Hammer doesn't even have some of the most basic things (for example, we're crying out for an autosave feature ala Microsoft Word etc). So lets not jump ahead of ourselves here
Ur welcome As for snow im in Australia so snow is extremly extremly rare I've never seen it, felt it, thrown it etc Substitute - Stick head in freezer on a winters day (which is still quite warm)
Well I'm no expert... I recently read an article on Open Source software in which they discuss the pro's and cons of Linux (im tempted to switch...) Anywho the major distributions are Red Hat,SuSE and Debian. These are the ones that have the most support. However support is from enthusiests and unless u buy it somewhere there no warrenty. But Linux is renowned for kicking Microsofts ass! Watch for software as not everything works with Linux. Good luck!
Btw Seventh, to answer ur question from AGGGGEEESSS AGO... Yes it is a DDR (to refresh...) Winfast A180 DDR T nVidia Geforce 4 MX 440 with an 8x AGP, 64 megs DDR MB etc etc Anywho my motherboard doesn't support the speed so its at 4x for me. As for the DDR I haven't got a clue... btw sorry, i couldn't help it...this thread is back to nerdiness
