Eh, my main gaming/mapping computer, the one with the x1950 pro runs source mapping, goldsource mapping, all flawlessly.

OK, i might be old fashioned for sticking with my x1950 and my XP, but i don't have anywhere near the problems a lot of other people have, so as far as I'm concerned i made the right decisions.

I run an ATI Radeon x1950 pro on my main computer and everything works as it should.

I run an ATI Radeon 9600 series on my secondary computer, and I cant select stuff in hammer 3d, plus I get intermittent OpenGL problems.

Depends on the card i guess.

And its OK if others use them, but NVIDIA cards have screwed me over so many countless times I refuse to buy them, that's just my opinion.

OK, so no minimod format, but can it still be multiple maps, as long as i make the appropriate adaptations to the readme?

Believe me, I'm horrible when I'm given a single map to work with. That's why I suck at making MP maps.

Theres models you have to PAY for? That is the most stupid thing ive ever heard. Better to learn and make them yourself.

Looks like TWHL gets my site exclusivity for free. Too bad I'm too lazy to find something, and make a tutorial on it.

The transformer movie was horrible. I had to watch it twice cause i fell asleep while first watching it.

And did it hear that right? A pokemon film? Dear lord, is there a bigger example of fail?

I might be biased, since i viciously made fun of pokemon/transformer/yu-gi-oh enthusiasts, as a child. And i continue to hate all those toys.

But i think any movie based on a toy will fail, unless they do something Really special.

Chrome
Ooo Shiny.

I like the simplicity of the interface, in addition to its ultra speed in loading! The task manager is also nice.

Perhaps a change from Firefox is in order? Ill wait until it comes out of beta, and see what kind of plug-ins they might offer. In particular, a better download manager, as world crafter mentioned.

And just a side not, Tito, don't take this personally, but i hate your outlook on the internet, and i cant stand reading your posts like the one above, or the ones in that "browser debate", they just irritate me.

I just make the things myself. Prefabs are indeed less common now, and by the time you find the thing your looking for, you could have already made something twice as good. (if you ever do find it)

Plus, i don't like prefabs,I'd prefer to do my own work, than have to cite a bunch of other people because i used their work.

Luke misunderstood i think, i got that Game currently unavailable message after deleting the blob. But then i exited steam (penguinboy's recomendation) and tried starting back up. I get the steam updating window, that eventually turns to a "cant connect to steam network" message. Reinstalling didnt change the result at all.

Ok, im having serious problems now.

Upon deleting the blob file and trying to restart steam, The "updating steam window" would come up and after about 3 minutes of inactivity, that message would disapear and a new message would say "could not connect to steam network.

So i reinstalled steam, and i now get the same messages.

Wut?

Its been happening the past 3 days, its just now that i've decided to ask TWHL.

Restarting steam, game, or computer, doesnt help

I tried reasearching the web, but i get no relevant results.

Im debating reinstalling steam, and all my games (i got em all on retail dvds) Steam already installs everything to my D drive, because i installed steam before hooking up my extra drive. So if i do reinstall at least that will be some good coming out of it

Im having problems with my Steam multiplayer games (tf2 css) In the in-game server lists, I cant see any servers in my favorites, history, or internet tabs. If i hit refresh it comes back and says "cant find main server list"

In the servers window on the steam interface however, i can see the servers normally, but if i join from there, it starts the game, but when it tries to connect, it says "failed after 4 retries"

This started to happen randomly, i didn't change any settings, and i checked my firewall, it isn't blocking anything from steam. Any idea what could be going on? I'd like to get on those TWHL servers ;)

Hey again. Im following the spawnroom tutorial on the valve dev wiki, but when i run my map, the team doesnt spawn at their spawn points. There are no compile errors, but the ingame console reports that "the entity is not clear"

To me that means they have objects to close to them. What distance should the team spawn be from any objects? and does it have to be that distance from any brushes like the floor or the ceiling? Thanks for any assistance

Haha muzzleflash

No, ATDestroy is my usual profile name for most stuff. When i joined TWHL, i was expecting a snarkpit-like site. In other words, i thought i was going to leave after a week, so i made a generic profile name (HLMapper) but after being here for a bit, i realized twhl wasnt anything like snarkpit. So i got my name changed to ATDestroy, which is what everyone usually knows me as. Think of it as me becoming a permanent involved member of twhl. :D

Plus i felt related to HLGenius :/

Besides, if you read my profile page you'd know i was named ATDestroy in steam/xfire/games :P

Off topic stuff out of the way.

@killerduck: It doesnt matter anymore, im going to redo that level.

I know how urb feels.

I played starwars galaxies for a year, being one of the best pvpers on the server, but never enjoyed any of the time. why?

all i had to do was look around, the overwhelming majority of people were losers who cheated their level, and ran around with their "ingame girlfriends" and "ingame wives" and such

It took me a year to realize that the game was for losers, and what a waste an MMORPG is, and im sorry it took a year because 12x15$ a month = $225

what a freakin waste.

As for that vid, i will laugh unconrtollably everytime i see it, not only because they held a funeral in a game amd in a pvp zone, but because its hilarious to crash PVP events

Thats...interesting, so those warnings aren't complaining about any of my brushes, if you compiled it fine. Ill double check the folder and get back to you. i didn't know my brushwork was that bad! lol. You cant see that stuff in game because of the lighting. I guess i should clean that up a bit

Absolutely positive

Interesting, My mapping technique isn't awesome, and an invalid solid seems plausible, ill have to track down that solid.

An invalid water brush for the vector error? i don't have any water on the map. I guess i could check my brush based entities through ent report and see if any are weird shaped, but that doesn't seem likely

One thing, i have my brush based triggers intersecting world brushed all over the place. i didn't think it would be a problem with brush entities intersecting, but could that be a problem?
