Ok, I tried this and am preety sure. I know how to do pistols with game player equip but I tried to place them down with an armory entity and it didnt work. Like in the place where you say what gun I said weapon_deagle and it just defaulted to an smg. Im just making sure, is it possible to make a pistol lying around?

OK, he doesnt want just teleporting I think, it sounds like he wants a teleport pad to be able to tell if your ct or t and then depending on that send you somewhere. If that is the case I have no idea how but I may just be looking too hard into things

Well I think you may have got what I did wrong there. I have the object, a func_wall_dissapearing (watever), one multimanage, two trigger once's and a trigger hurt with negative damage. I hit the one trigger once which triggers the multi which triggers the thing to dissapear and the negative hurt to go on in .0001 seconds and then it triggers another trigger once which turns back off the trigger_hurt.

Lol, besides all that I have a problem with... RESETING IT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE ROUND lol.

Thanks for that, it didnt really help cause there is no item_healthpack but it was the point of your trying :) . I did get what I wanted to happen work though... I wont bother explaining but I have it so that it heal's you and then dissapears for ever. I just cant get it to reset at the begining of the round, someone help ;)

OK, I want to be able for someone to run into and object (whatever I want to shape it) and then for them too get a life point bonus. This would be for counter-strike.

Well first thing you do is go buy a lighter, get a cloth and soak it in gasoline,wrap it around a stick, and light it. Just make sure that your hands have no alcohaul and I wouldn't recomend doing this indoors.

Yeah use game_player_equip to start out with a weapon, but if you place more maps around then there isn't anything stopping them from dropping their old gun.

OMG, PLEASE HELP ME... The problem above was solved after the texture thing was fixed, but the most insane thing ever happened to me. Something was wrong with my computer so I had to do a system restore, after that everything got screwed up. First thing was that when I opened Hammer I had to reset my config files, after that, I tried to open my map de_bedroom... almost everything was gone, there were some pieces of it - but tons of things were gone. Its not just a certain type, there is all sorts of different things that are gone, func_walls, normal things - I dont think any entity's were gone. It could have been the .rmf got screwed up, but I backed up my mapping things onto a cd (because i thought it might somehow reset the map to its last save before I edited it today) and I replaced the "non-working" one with the cd one, but it was the same. What can I do about this?

OK I didnt post it in the map vault yet, I think that maybe it could have been that the name of one texture in a .wad is the same as another in a different .wad that I was using so I just deleted what was using that texture and now I am re-compiling it too see if it will work.

OK, I made an small addition to my de_bedroom map, a small hallway and vent shaft on the other side of the room, and when I compile, it
1) Is smaller KB size, now its like 933 when it was over 1.3 meg before
2) When I make a game and try to play it, it gives me some error...
Ill post it in the map vault cause im not being clear here lol

In the maps I made I normally spawn in the same spot, but every once in a while I will spawn somewhere else. I also noticed that the other person spawns in the same general area just opposite of me :)

You all are always thinking of dumb things like that... I mean, with anything people can do something stupid! That doesn't mean you shouldnt do it! I could post up a load of porno if I wanted to and you still let people do that, but no animation - thats just so much worse! Common people you should start trying things and so what if a newb does something like that, is it going to throw your whole life off track? With everything good there is something bad and you just have to deal with it :x

OK, whats up with my brush being outside the world like this? I did Alt-P and it didnt find errors. I wish I can know what brush 181 was so that I could just delet it. OK, I know this has been brought up before and I need some help with getting my lights.rad to work. When its compiling it says using textlights from lights.rad - using 54 faces or something like that ... The only problem is that when I play the map, there is no light! I am using the tutorials lights.rad , I know that it is actually light.rad , and I am doing everything right! I didn't get what andy said about making yourmap.rad to do it... I think it was zombies question : - PLEASE HELP
