Ok, here's the situation.
I have a WinTV Nova-T Digital TV Card in my computer
This card records .mpeg format
I also have a DVD Burner, and want to be able to put the videos onto DVDs, but without waiting ages.
Currently, im using Aurora DVD Burner Pro, which converts the .mpeg files to DVD compatable. The trouble is - this process takes AGES!!!!
It is converting at the rate on average at 10mins of .mpeg in 20minutes of converting.
Now, what i want to do is good 'ole copy/paste files onto DVD, and watch, etc, however, I have only managed this with CD, by creating a VCD. This is successful, and works perfectly, except for the fact that im limited on space.
Another possibility is making the .mpeg files smaller, however Hauppauge only offers 1 record quality - High (2048 DVD QUALITY)
So - is there any way to:
a) reduce size of .mpegs, even if quality is lowered
(possible using a different capture device and encoder (already tried Windows Series 9 Encoder & Windows Movie Maker - yeah, I know crappy, but neither work))
b) quicken converting rate - KILL ME PLEASE!!!
c) copy/paste method onto disk, like VCD
d) any other method you can think of to make this ^ process quicker
The burn speed is NO problem, its a fast writter, and this usually takes about 5 - 10 minutes for 1 hour of video.
Well, there you have it! A long post I know, but really appreciate any1's help - if they actually know what they're talking 'bout!!!!
