There are many ways.
The easiest way would be to go to the outputs of the path_corner which you want your train to stop at, and add

"[i]OnPass[/i]"
"[i]train name[/i]"
"[i]Stop[/i]"  (Notice that it might not be called stop, but the name of the input should be quite obvious)
The train can easily be reactivated again using the input StartForward (or StartBackwards depending on direction)

I see flying props.

The handwasher in the bathroom is not attached to the wall, and neither is any of the radiators.
At least, that is what it looks like, keeping in mind that the shadows in the old source engine fools you from time to time.
Other than that? I have no comments since it is pre-beta.

Did you search the forums?

go into source SDK's properties, and find the Launch Options button.

When prompted, type "-engine ep1" and hit ok. Your SDK will now be configured to map for pre-orange box games, providing you own them, of course.

Eitherway, copy your compile log (open your compile window, hit "CTRL + A" and "CTRL + C" and then paste it by hitting "CTRL + V") and paste it here, and post it.

Also, if the error was in the console, copy the error and paste it here.

Tetsu0, that's a common error which occours when all files not yet have been extracted, OR when the game isn't up to date.
The map compiles fine, it's just the game itself which there is something wrong with.

Should be fixed by starting the game and running a map, any map.

Edit:
all i have to do is manually run the game and the map
That however, does not make any sense.

What he said, but there is more.

You can use HDR to create some beautiful effects too.
And also add a spritebased sun which makes it look very summerish.

To use HDR you will need cubemaps in every room and open area in your map.
Notice that they should all be in player head hight.
Glows, lights and anything lightrelated often has a HDR multiple and color thing which lets you alter the brightness and color of the HDR effect.

To compile with HDR you will need to check the hdr box in the compile window.

Takes a lot of experimenting to get used to it, so I suggest making a separate test map just for experimenting.

I'm experiencing a load of bugs in the latest release.
I'll list those which I remember

*The camera was too close in the tetris map, and I couldn't see anything which was comming.
After I died and it reloaded this map, the camera was fixed and was quite a bit further away.
However after accedently saving in a very bad spot where I died a second after I had to restart the game and remove the save, and after doing that the camera was close again and I had no chance of survival
*After dieing a few times the blocks randomly started to travel faster, and again making it impossible to survive
*The game crashes on exit, so I need to shut it down a second time using Ctrl + Alt + Delete

And Im sure I forgot something, oh well, If I forgot it it probably wasn't that important.

I've been looking at how valve did it, it doesn't look very hard.
If I had the time I would make you an example.

Anyways, there already is an example in the source sdk content.

Go into the hl2 mapsrc and look for a map called "town" something, this is one of the ravenholm maps, and it includes a lot of climbing scenes.
Just look for one of those pipes and you should be able to figure it out.

OR you could make it func_breakable and select "unbreakable glass" (or whatever it is called) Instead of just glass in the materials selection.
If you select this, it will not matter what you put into the strength field, it will be unbreakable anyways.

You said Source SDK wouldn't launch, not just hammer, that's a whole other problem.

As ant said, you need to run a map (like single player) in all of the games before being able to make maps for them, because when you launch a game the necessary game files are extracted from the gcfs.

But however if you have played the games, then try pressing "reset game configs".

ok I can't spot anything right now which I can immidiedly see that it is causing the problem.

I'm launching SDK right now to do some experimenting with it.

EDIT:

Problem solved.
The model you are using, there is something wrong with it.

Use vehicle.mdl, not vehicle_rich.mdl

I got it working, but I don't think the script file is the right one, because as far as I remember the EP2 car did not have the same sounds as the buggy from HL2

EDIT2: All problems solved.
It appears as if "Jalopy.txt" is the correct script.

Prop_vehicle_jeep
model: vehicle.mdl
Script: Jalopy.txt

And then there are 2 properties/flags which you can change to get the radar and the grabbing thing working.

"Hopper visible - YES/NO" - Grab thing
"HUD locator Precach - FLAG" - Radar thing didn't work. Oh well, I've got homework to do now so I can't experiment any further.

Scripted_sequences can be a bit of a pain in old HL1 sometimes.
Maybe the npc is interrupted?
Check the flag "no interruptions"

Possible spoilers

Ok so I ran it on my PC instead.
It was a great mod.
For me it was roughly 1.5 hours of gameplay, and I think that's pretty decent for a mod?

It wasn't that scary, but I did get a little scared the minutes before the zombies (or whatever that shit was) were released.
The monsters were awesome, tho very easy to take down.
It was also very easy to leave most of the work to the soldier who was with you since he was invinceble.
Tho his weapons didn't do half the damage as my weapons did.

Oh and also, the aiming system is quite fucked up.
I once unloaded a whole magazine in the stomach of a guy, and it did no damage at all, the shots hit him, but nothing happened.
This happened several times with several weapons, and at some points it seemed as if you aimed better without the iron sight.

I enjoyed playing it anyways.

Im guessing that it is caused by that mysterious DLL which was put into the Half-life folder.
Be cause I can't run HL1 in OpenGL either anymore.
