I think they spruce up threads, though, especially with explanations. Maybe only us mods should be allowed to ;).

That's exactly when it happens, dandyli0n`; you can probably add an extra "change directory" to the end of the compile process to sort it, but it's easier and quicker jus' to launch the map manually.

I think it's because they nabbed the code for water with the intention of using the fogging parts, and then left it.

Always read it before anything, and check your errors against Tommy14's page (official site, mirror [may be outdated]). Also check your compile settings, and always use Zoner's Tools as opposed to the strange Quake compile tools provided by VALVe. More info on ZHLT here.

I think it's pretty obvious. If there're more than forty-nine replies noted on the forum page, expect more than one page of thread. When the page list was only on the top, now that was a bit tricky.

I reckon it's fine.

Wpolies are the number of brush polygons (triangles) being drawn. Short for 'world polygons'. The draw time is inversely proportional to the framerate. The longer it takes to render each frame, the fewer frames are being drawn per given unit of time.

To reduce the world polygon count, draw time, and to therefore increase the framerate: make stuff simpler, smaller. If you're more advanced, try hinting etc., with the assistance of our tutorial.
