welcome to the world of mappin mate. Leaks are the curse of hammer, the single most annoying thing in existance (except for linkin park). Im sure theres hundreds of tutorials on leaks out there so hit google and find a gud one. Basicly a leak is a whole in ur level. For me i found the pointfile method to be the best for tracking down leaks but there are other ways.
Im trying to make some horizontal bubbles using the pipe_bubbles model. Im using cycler entity (monster_generic wont work). The level compiles fine but crashes out when i try and run it. Anyone got any ideas?
does any1 have a map that includes the scientist_cpr and barney_cpr sequences. Im having problems synchronising the two and the origins of the animations are all messed up
is unreal mapping like deus ex mapping. I remember when i used to map for DX- the whole map was filled with solid then u carved bits out. Isnt that a lot more sensible than hammer cos u neva get leaks.

I was wondering if there was any chance of someone writing a tutorial on how to set up a mod? What i mean is which directories do you put sounds, models, maps etc in? and also how do you get a mod to show up on the custom game menu in half-life itself? Any help would be much appreciated- @rmadillo
Y'know on opposing force, the opening scene with the Osprey plane thing: how was that done? You cant get soldiers to sit and talk and do things properly whilst moving in a func_train so it must have been the scenery outside the plane that was moving (am i right? )so cud u do a tutorial on that.
I kinda had an idea along those lines: Gordan Freeman has decided to take a job in the black mesa canteen because alien invasions were all a bit too stressing. But everything goes wrong and the food turns into aliens. As the mutant pasta and trans-dimensional spag bol cause havok across the globe and reak revenge on their human oppressors it seems nothing can save human kind...etc
have u guys realised that the half-life engine aint much on outdoor environments. the poor draw distance etc would mean large, spaceous deserts/icelands etc would be almost impossible to map effectively. what bout trees aswell. i dont think a forest would be possible.
have u guys made many mods B4. cos id B very interested in workin with a group of experienced mappers on a project. If ur gonna plan it all out properly and promise to see it through to the end im in!

Can u explain what is goin on in ur map for us. The camera work is very good and im sure it took alot of time to perfect but what the hell does the Gman av to do with anything and the scientist and the lava pit?
I just wanted to say what a good site this is. It is tha best hammer site on tha net by far and the only 1 i found which has holds regular competitions. well done- who eva created it.
(Im not just trying to flatter you so i win the competition. although it probly sounds like it. lol)
