Direct 3D is I think:
Graphics are like open GL but sprites and lighting are rendered like software, so you get less lag. I have to run direct 3d on my computer for natural selection

Both of you are right, but dont make an entire level out of func_walls. Thats not a goo idea because vis and rad will see tright through that and you will get numerous errors.

They don't ban you from single player! And I will have to get a different account for HL2 anyway, my current computer isn't good enough so I'll have to register HL2 on a different computer in my house.

Uhhh NO! If I get a new cd it will have probably already been used by someone else. And besides, my ban is tied to my Steam ID, not my cd key.

Well It happened, as I should have known, counter-hacking after all, it was inevitable. My "indetectable" hack got detected and now Im banned from VAC servers for a year, hopefully no longer than that. This just goes to show you that Iturns out COUNTER HACKING IS NOT A GOOD IDEA.

2k 4 wasnt out when I started making The Outcast, and since it uses things like seeing your chtacters in combat, I doubt it would be possible to convert everything and I don't want to start the whole game over from scratch.

Its just thirdperson, and it doesn't need sv_cheats 1. But you can't go into third person in mutliplayer, test your models in single player mode.

And not everything has to do wheher a game has new code or whether the maps good good or not. I mean, if someone made a briliant mod but the levels were kind of dull i wouldnt give, I would be focusing on the actual gameplay.

Well its going to be a good game, Ive been making it (working on and off) for 2 years now. Im hoping to have the gameplay of actually following the story the whole game about 3-4 hours long and if you do everything to can, about 7-8 hours long. So it'll be pretty big. Its a lot different making an rpg, even if its made with a fairly simple program.

Well in a alien slaves or alien controllers case you'd have 2, zap or slash. Anyway, just checked out natural selection and am downloading it now. Aliens vs marines... What aliens do you get to be? Are they the same ones from Half Life?

Well I had planned to have the maps have ver large areas of water or some places are only acceable through water. And because you cant go on land as an icthyosaur, all water would be linked together. But Ive never played Natural Selection, what do you do in that game?

I want to create a small multiplayer mod called Xen Wars. You enter the game and choose a class:
Alien Slave
Alien Grunt
Alien Controller
Headcrab
Icthyosaur
Genome
Once you pick your class you start playing. I can pull off editing speed/health for each class but I need someone to code these weapons:
Controller's beam attack (already have model)
Headcrab bite (instant kill)
Icthyosaur bite (primary bites, secondary makes ou go faster and roar, like when they are preparing to attack)
Genome arms + model (would be best if someone simple cut the arms off of the genome model, the default genome attack animations would work fine so dont worry about editing the animations)

So, is anyone up to it?
OH! And is it possible to get the source for tfc as I need it for making the classes themselves.

I got that error with full_city many times. This problem Im pretty sure is usually caused by:
-Too many open areas
-Massive areas with waaaay too many lights
-Excessive face spliting

Haha I thought you were talking that there should be clip brushes to prevent users from getting to the city floor. yeah, theres that minor glitch, but when your playing people the losers who try to camp there usually get killed pretty fast, considering they've got nowhere to go. About the second picture, Ive tried to get over there many times and you can't. Or shouldnt be able to, I never could... Don't know how you did if you actually did.

I was indeed alking about a Genome, remember, I am a compltet nerd when it comes to identifying monsters/weapons/maps of Half Life and it's mods. The only place I ever fought a Genome was in the place with all the big rocket engines going off and there was only one. He was surrounded by tons of zombies, but I only saw one genome.

Why is there only 1 Genome in the whole game of Opposing Force?! Its not strong enough to be a boss. IF you forgot or don't know what a Genome is, its the next level of a zombie. The really big zombie that's on crack.

I didnt know awp_rooftops used vegas and tundra wads, sorry. Anyay, there arent any clip brushes because you are suposed to be able to reach the city floor in awp_rooftops. (still dont know why the guy considers it an awp map). Didn't you notice the ladders? Well anyway its nice to see that the maps I like are actually good maps.

Maps: Awp_rooftops and De_evergreen. These are the 2 best maps I have ever seen... anywhere and in any mod.

I had nothing to do with the creatio of either of these maps, am just sharing them, map.txts are included and so is everything else that is needed to play.
