once you get into the flow of mapping you will be able to use the "seperate brush" method. simply create every brush individually.

you cant wadinclude wads. as far as i know, its just individual textures. and wadinclude isnt going to solve your problem here. you need to make sure your coma_swat.wad is in your MOD DIRECTORY. e.g half-life/valve or counter-strike/cstrike.

if you want to make a decal do that, try making a func_illusionary over the wall (make it invisible mind) and rotate the texture. then apply the decal. although it will probably look a bit odd if you walk up to the wall and look at it.

the 1st 3 numbers you had were to control the colour. the last controls lighting. if you look at the other lights in your lights.rad you will see 175 is pretty damn low! take 7ths advice and put it about 500-10000

scene: the player walks down a quiet corridor in whereever youve set this. he walks round a corner, and hears a gentle crying noise. a little unnerved, the player continues on till he comes to a room, which is also the center of the noise. he opens the door to see a woman, kneeling on the floor crying (find a model for this). as he approaches, there is a flash, the woman disappears and the crying is replaced by an evil laughter. the lights go out, and monsters spawn around the room. a nice bit of psycological horror for ye.

just put texture lock on anyway. and when your making a map, never say "i'll do textures later". its alot quicker to choose a texture when your making the brush than just make them all the same, and change them after the brushes are all made.

if you can, find some ther custom sounds. i was just playing doom3, and i was walking down the usual doom3 corridor (v dark with errie lights.) and i heard a woman whisper "cmon, hurry!". its psycological horror like that that really does the scaring. its not the monster thats scary, its how you present the monster. for instance. im walking down a corridor, and around the corner is a zombie. now are you going to put up big neon signs saying "zombie round this corner!" or are you going to hide the zombie in the shadows, and give errie effects to make the zombies appearance that much more frightening?
