in HL2 Maps n' Mods Post #18464
Considering HL2 supports such an advancement in mapping, I wouldn't bother with any of my old maps however
My opinion exactly. I've maybe seen one, two maps that could stand up to comparison with HL2-quality maps and even they'd need quite a bit of work.

It's not smoke, they're contrails ;) sorta st**m.

Anyhoo, they're probably just lots of sprites in a line, that's what I did in Cause of Death for a st**m jet.

Understatement. If you use use the Q-tools you should be beaten with something hard and/or sharp.

Yes, quite often it is incredibly hard to read. Anyway, what's the point in typing "2" instead of "to"? Wow, saving the effort of tapping one whole key.

You can't put a model on a _train nor make it a _breakable. You can't make a brush both.

You have to have CSG and BSP. VIS and RAD are technically optional.

I made barrels float well in an early version of Cause of Death, they bobbed about a bit and stuff. Pretty nice. I don't think I ever changed the buoyancy value either.

Try turning those cylinders into func_walls, they could well be confusing VIS. If that doesn't work, try compiling with VIS on FULL.
