Wut? I've never had any issues with BEVEL. I can just stand on a beveled face and without sinking halfway into it.

It does create a solid face, its like the CLIP brush, except that it also blocks bullets. The big difference is that it doesn't expand clip hulls. Yes, that sounds confusing, but its better than the NULL texture.

I have never publicly released 2 apart from many different beta versions released to some members, including you. I pretty much started development all over again from the ground up and designated the project as Compilator which is simply the third generation of my tool.

Good to see you're still working on this, but i think you should'nt accept new maps for Castle Disposed, otherwise you just keep adding to it and the mod never gets finished. You should save new submissions for a sequel (Castle Disposed 2) or a mod update or something.

Make sure the rest of your map is error free. Check the compile log for errors. If any errors occur during the hlcsg or the hlbsp stage the bsp file never gets updated and you keep looking at an old version everytime you run the map to check your sky.

Create a brush thats large enough for the player to stand in and place it where you want the player to control the train and turn into a func_traincontrols entity.

It's best to make the train first. Note that the train has to be a func_tracktrain with an ORIGIN brush in its center. Make sure you configure it properly (speed, first stop target, angles and all that).

Then set the Train name of the func_traincontrols entity to the name of the func_tracktrain.

Yeah thats what i meant, a smd export plugin for Sketchup to export your Sketchup models to smd and then use a model compiler that will actually create the mdl file from the smd.

I tried the Source Sketchup plugin but its not really working well.

There's no need for any vertex manipulation, all you need is an arch which is basically the exact same thing as a cylinder except that it's... hollow! :D

Here's how to make one:

1. Click the Block Tool button:

2. On the right, make sure Categories is set to Primitives and Object set to arch:

3. Now create an object like this:

Grid size is 16 (change it with the [ and ] keys), zoom is 0.50 and the sube is 128w 128l 128h (width, length, height). Hit Enter to create the object.

4. A dialog box pops up:

Here you can specify the number of wall sections and width. Take over the settings you see on the image. When you're done, hit Ok.

And that's it! A hollow cylinder:

From here you can change the height, but avoid changing the width and length because that would mess up the object(object vertices go off the grid) and it'll look bad ingame.

Well, im on a x64 Windows 7 OS with an NVidia 275 GTX videocard and Hammer for Source and GoldSource run just fine. No lag, no nothing.

Ok, ill try it again, after all the SDK was updated some time ago so hopefully this issue i was having (seen here and here, the seconds link explains it better) has been fixed by now.

Plus, thanks to Rabidmonkey, i now have an example of how a source batch file looks like so i know what parameters and variables it needs to compile properly. I have'nt tried compiling anything with that batch file yet, but i have high hopes it'll work.
