You can always use a multi_manager instead, with times of like 0.01.

It's not that off-topic.

PS: All of us and our kin and kind (kin being family basically) are cursed/damned/whatever for being able to see the old TWHL when he can't.

Processed in a plodding 210 milliseconds

Then again since the server just overloaded with all the connections and I had a twisted evil page of TWHL with several hundred "invalid SQL resource" errors...

There's a text rating of the process time too :)
Processed in an acceptable 143 milliseconds
Look in the footer at this page. The one-second thing isn't exactly amazing though, just that the page took long enough to process to split request receipt-page send over more than one second.

Or you could just give the two targetted things the same name.

Say you wanted a trigger_once to open a func_door and turn on the light, just give the door and light the same name (e.g. bob) and set the trigger_once to target "bob".

Are you compiling in Expert? If you are, add -full to the VIS command line and try recompiling.

Unless you actually are an expert in which case you use expert all the time since you can tweak compiling using that.

Even better, you could batch compile with Hammer closed!

No. Read the log, it will say "no VIS information, direct lighting only". This means light will not bounce at all (along with the normal effects of not VISing) therfore the map will be in stark contrast :)

I was just replying when my browser crashed.

It's called coding, and it's nasty and scary. If you are bored/wierd/super-intelligent then the place to start is getting the HL SDK. You need to know C too.

You are using the compile tools designed for Quake, which are several years old and poorly coded. You should get Zoner's Half-Life Tools ("ZHLT") and use them instead; this error could well be fixed through doing this.
