This christmass I quit smoking as a gift to my fiance. Some of you might accuse me of being a cheap ass, but I think it is a good gift because it makes her happy and takes alot of effort on my part. (keep in mind I am still paying for the ring)

Hey guys, I've been playing counter strike now for a couple weeks and I think I'm getting fairly good(not good enough to join a clan). But I was wondering what are some of your favorite servers, and what screen names do you use. I was wanting to hook up with a few people here who play just to get some practice and get a chance to play with some familier names. I feel sorry for you Marlborometel, Here in the US there are tons of places to play for free. I'm a bassist in a band and we play in alot of coffie shops and things like that.
We have only been playing together several months, but once we get a little tighter we can play for local bars and make up to $300 in one weekend.

They don't socialize because they can't. They can't fit in with normal people. I'm sure this doesn't happen to everyone, but there are people out there like that.
I think people who watch alot of tv could have a warped perception of reality when it comes to social interaction. Think about it. When people are talking to each other in movies the are reading off a script and being told what to say. People who watch alot of this may start trying to a interact with people the way its done on tv, but that is not how things work in real life.

I also have both versions of the game. It seems ports from pc to console are never very good and vice versa. The only thing I like about the ps2 version is the cooperative play in decay. other than that i would never touch the game. better graphics dont mean a thing to me.

I know what he's asking. You have 2 rooms right? and you made a hallway by hollowing out a brush and deleting the ends. To make holes in the rooms put a brush where you want the door and use the carve tool, then delete.

I cannot express my anger with words. I bought HL2 today and for some reason it wont install. I have a fairly new comp. why does all this shit have to happen to me. I am livid. I get to the last cd and it gives me an error message. I need to talk to valve, or someone or something. by the way ive had my share of beer tonight
I have Halo 1 and 2 and the original Half-life. The only reason I like HL better than Halo is the fact that I can create my own levels. As of right now I prefer the Halo gameplay (sp and mp) to HL but that will probably change when I get HL2. IMO both are top notch games, and I play lots of games.

That story was great. I did find it scary. I have been in a cave that has not been explored before and its scary enough without that weird shit happening. I think parts of the story are true about the hole and stuff. He just had to add a couple things to make it freaky.

Thanks guys. I tried it again with another map and it worked. So it wasnt a problem with winzip, it was the map file. thanks again for the help.

I am a new member to this site and would like to start downloading some maps from the archive, but I'm not sure how. What I have done so far is zipped the file to my desktop but I dont know how to use the file with hl. could someone please give me the steps for that process? It would be appreciated.

This is something that is new to me. I have been creating levels with world craft for years. I guess I'm behind on the times because I have never heard of Hammer. Is Hammer alot better than world craft? BTW this is my first time on this site.
I read somewhere that HL2 comes with the original HL updated with the new physics system. My question is will I be able to convert my HL maps to the HL2 format without remaking the whole map?
