Saying that Windows is cheaper is retarded. All of the best Unix OS's are free. For example, BSD, Linux, to name a few. Windows is IBM compatible, not IBM based. In fact, the whole x86 standard which is known as IBM compatible is actually designed by Intel who developed the first x86 compatible chip, the 8086. Unix systems are superior to Windows in every way. Rad Brad should start using the facts instead of making them up. NASA do indeed use Unix. In fact, they use SGI Irix, which is a very effecient Unix. And who said Linux is friendlier? The only reason noobs use it is because it was originally developed to be easier. But you try telling a noob to install Gentoo. They will fail instantly.

Ages for me since I need to cool down the contents of my liquid chiller first, then I need to start up my Mach II. That adds a few minutes to my startup. Now, when it gets to the BIOS, that has to load my RAID volumes through the SI BIOS which adds a bit of time, then I have to load my custom kernel for Debian which is slightly slower booting than the default kernel. I will clock it later...
Yes! I have tried every version since DOS 1.01 all the way to 2003 Enterprise Server and all of them suck compared to Unix.

I HAVE tried Windows. And have used it since the early days. And I have more bad things to say about it than good. Rofl! You need a distro to run on that. Anything will run on that. For example, although its BSD, not linux, FreeBSD will run on a 386 with 4mb of RAM smoothly in text mode. And in X mode it should run in 16mb of RAM on a 386. Linux specs are a little more demanding, but still, your system is more than enough.

Solaris for x86 is sadly, rubbish. It's only worth it if you use SPARC architecture, which I doubt you could ever afford. Get a faster computer and more RAM, get Linux (or FreeBSD), then decide on making a server.
LOL! Fucking noob. The CPU FSB is supposed to be 200MhZ. When it says 400FSB is actually means either a 100MhZ FSB Pentium 4, or your RAM runs at 400. Although, this is not true, since PC3200 is actually 200MhZ and they call it DDR400 because it performs twice as fast as SDRAM at the same frequency. You get your CPU speed from the CPU FSB MhZ * the multipler which is unchangable for noobs like you. The CPU to RAM MhZ ratio is a setting on the chipset called the divider. 1:1 means the FSB is the same as the memory module mhz. DDR400, FSB400, and a FSB of 400MhZ are very different things. If you set the FSB in the BIOS to 400Mhz, and you have a 2GhZ cpu, you would be telling to BIOS to clock the CPU at 4GhZ which is a stupid idea. The highest FSB in history is 400MhZ which was on a P4C800 with thousands of voltage mods and very powerful cooling. You noobs are so stupid these days. I swear they get dumber everyday rather than learn...

I'm gonna get Hammer 4 working in Cedega later. Hammer 4 will run much smoother on Linux without all of winblow's shitty background apps. Linux can runs in 1 to 2 processes, and how many does winblows use, 50? or so? You should always have 1gb minimum for gaming. I used to have 2gb but it limited my overclocking, so I took 2 sticks out. Hah, I bash Microsoft or Windows in almost every post! OWNED MICROSOFT!

Get proper video drivers and recompile the kernel with GART support. Then setup Xfree86. You could try using X.org but I prefer Xfree86 for compatability reasons. Then install/run HL2 using a cedega installation of Steam. Not that fucking hard if you have braincells.

Chicken_man was a racist, stupid, and abusive idiot in IRC. He claimed to hack, which was untrue, since he didn't appear to know anything about the subject. I did hack TWHL, got banned from IRC, then apologized, got unbanned from IRC, had a chat with Atom, he fixed the damage, end of story. But I did not lie. Chicken_man is a lier, which is just as bad. He claimed he was gonna delete Seventh-Monkey's account, then claimed he couldn't find the files. TWHL is database-powered, not file based. In IRC he threw out several racist comments to people, pretended he was hacking people (and believing he really was). He was abusive to certain people in the channel too. So, he was banned. He changed his hostname and joined again, then got banned. Ban evasion is wrong. So is racism, abuse and spam. And he is guilty of all those.
I think Anonymous is "the few idiots".
