I really was disappointed in HL2 TBH... Especialmente the multiplayer. I hate how you start out with the grav-gun, and the gravity items just slow everything down and get in the way when I'm trying to walk. Sure, some grav items are nice sometimes, but do they have to be EVERYWHERE, and do I have to get stuck on all of them?
I also hate mapping for HL2... It's so prop-based these days that unless you want to make a transit station or a combine forcefield, your maps just won't live up to the Valve standard. also because of the proprietary textures. I only map for HL2 because to map for HL1 would be like making parts for a steam-powered car.

Or that that certain way of believing should be taken away altogether, that is offensive and very hypocritical. These people claim to be so open and accept everyone, but they keep saying that a way of life for Millions of people that are different than them should be abolished strictly on principle. What's the difference between persecuting millions of Jews and persecuting Millions of Christians? How can you "abolish" or "phase out" (it doesn't matter what euphemism you use) a way of life without "abolishing" the PEOPLE? And THAT, comrades, is what Hitler sought to do.

Orpheus, a person who is always talking about God is always THINKING about God. Which if sometime during your life you'd actually read the bible, you'd know that that is what a good Christian is supposed to do. The only thing that is for CERTAIN here, is that people (YOU) who are constantly trying to make others feel inferior are very small, deeply flawed people who have to try to build up their own self-esteem on top of insulting others.

The only reason we exist is because we and at least one other person knows we exist. If you stopped being self-aware and others did not know you exist, you would cease to be altogether.

If he pays me MORE than the teachers, they will whine and moan and piss their flaps about how they have a college degree and have been teaching for 40 years, and I've got only a 2-year degree and been working there for 6 years. Our pay amounts are a matter of public record since we are government employees.

I thought you were a teacher, not a technician?Actually I'm both! I am the assistant technology coordinator for the district. Which pretty much means I'm a technician. We havea program for highschoolers taht allows them to be interns for 3 years and I teach that class. The kids who are in the class actively learn to fix and troubleshoot problems as they occur on campus. It's pretty cool.

I think that Religion in general is a good concept because it gives people hope in life. Lots of people don't want to think that we are just lumps of cells that are abortable at any time. Really you could say that same thing about science and technology. Sure we have cars now, but the earth is gonna overheat, we have antibiotics, but now the bacteria are becoming immune. The simple fact of the matter is that EVERYTHING causes bad things to happen. Even if its something really good.

Yeah. A lot of my ukrainian-immigrant friends are obsessed with "Fast and the Furious" cars and they want to get sweet tricked out honda civics when they are 16 so they quit school and put stucco on condos for $10 an hour. Which is GREAT money for a 16-year-old, but they don't listen to reason that says that they will be earning $10 for the rest of thier lives. I earn $9 an hour for sitting around and fixing computers. I also walk around campus and visit my friends who still go to that school, and some teachers who are my friends.
