A cruise liner sank 20 minutes ago off the coast of a previously unknown nation, now known as the Imperium of Primus.

This morning, a vessel was detected entering the waters off of our northern coast. Per our nations protocols, the vessel was intercepted and inspected by our elite guard, the Primus Legion.
The inspection determined that, though it appeared to be a luxury family cruise, was in fact carrying intelligence agents from a hostile foreign country, to one of our neighbours. Their goal, was to cause harm, and upset the geopolitical stability of our region. This could not be allowed.
We will not tolerate ANY action from any country that would result in a shift in power in our region, and a subsequent threat to our nations peace, prosperity and sovereignty. Such actions will be met with swift, direct and extreme prejudice.
However, we acknowledge that the world was previously unaware of our existence. Therefore, we have shown leniency in this instance, in only sinking the infringing vessel, with all hands lost.
The origin's of my name started back in high school. For my Business class, our teacher chose nicknames for us, so that only we would know what our grades are when he posted them (btw, failed. No one kept their name to themselves). Knowing that I played Magic: The Gathering, and having played in the past himself, he gave me the nickname Tawnos, a character from the earlier days of the game.
I used that name for quite a couple of years after that, until I unfortunately became locked out of that Battle.NET account, because I forgot it's password, and the password to the old e-mail account I had been using at the time. Not wanting to abandon the name completely 'cause I liked it, I decided to add onto it and keep using it. I don't remember specifically how I chose Prime, but that was when I started going by TawnosPrime.

I'm looking to get myself a NAS drive so I can free up some space on my PC, and make it so I can access my media (movies, pics, etc) across my various devices. I plan on using 4 drives, either 2 or 3 TB each (will also keep a backup of my PC), in a RAID 10 setup.
The only thing I'm not sure of is whether I should get a NAS from a company like QNAP or Data Robotics (Drobo) or should I built one myself using FreeNAS?

From memory, stuff only spawns more than 24 blocks away, too.That's only for enemy mobs. They can't spawn within 24 blocks of players or player spawn points.
According to the Wiki, about 1 in 10 newly generated chunks will have animals. It's very rare for them to spawn in already generated chunks. So in terms of Daub's server, we're screwed for cows. When it updates to 1.9, NEVER kill cows that weren't born by breeding.
As for Rim's seed, animals don't spawn in desert or ocean biomes, so everyone's screwed there too.
To whomever established the Resource Depot, you need better lighting!

Yeah, I looked up the alphabet after I noticed Rim's translation (and downloaded a text file for it ).
).Atom, look again. It may mean something else, but the symbol is there, and I took Japanese in high school. Some of those symbols match some Katakana characters. I see characters that look like 'n' and 'fu'. At least they do in that typeface.

An amendment to your upside down slabs, I'd like to see the ability to place two different slabs to for a single block. My house on Daub's serv would look so much better if the bottom stone layer was only half blocks.
I think Minemapper is capable of that as well.

Atom, did you get the 512x texture pack to work? I followed his instructions, but I was only able to get the 256x working.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, I did try to use SpeedFan, but it can only control fans connected to the motherboard. It can't do a thing for GPUs, unfortunately.

I thought I'd post the work I did on the final days of the server. It was a rush job, so everything isn't as nice as I'd hope.

Afaik, don't update to 1.7 if you want to play on the SnC server for it's last few days...unless Archie decides to update it.
Nothing you can see should change. However, if u don't currently have anything like long grass, you'll have to go to an area that you have NEVER been to before to see these.

I've never seen this before, but I think I changes the biomes on my island. After cutting down pretty much all my trees, it now only rains on half of my island. I was hoping to compare and confirm.
EDIT: I confirmed this talking to Rimrook on the server. He change the biome around this house. Sandstone home in a rain zone = no rain.
