I know exactly where I went wrong, and what I could have made better.
I ran out of time, and that was the problem... but, oh well, there will be another compo, soo Kasperg, any ideas on what the new compo will be?

By the way the env_sprites are a tad bigger, because I wanted a smokey, foggy type of map.. And this gave that effect.

Nice screenies Ant.. looks good.

The light effect is done with 2 textures, one texture is a texture created in Paintbrush, took me 2 hours to complete, and the other is just another straight fade texture.

The spotlight consist of 3 func_pendulems. I'll post it in the vault when the whole maps complete.. until then..

yep.. will do. Once I get internet at home, this problem will be all fixed, it's just that I need to put everything on a floppy disk, causing the file to be either corrupt, or a virus. DAMN THE SCHOOL COMPUTERS!!! lol : :D

Tried sending in the first part of my map.. but kept getting corrupted zips... eeer! And another thing..

For the light effect, I used an func_inout, which I think can only be used with the spirit of half-life, so I'll have to change that.. argh.. oh well'..

Wow, what a mod! Those where my first words when I dicided to have a run at it.

I never knew about the half-life game being converted into a multiplayer setup, So I decided to play it (alone, meh) And came across more monsters, weapons, and the setup is superb.

I can't wait to get online to play it.

...Also the mp3 Player... Great idea.. I set up the controls for it, and it was amazing. I downloaded this mod a while back ago, for the new models and such, but never played it.

Does anyone else share the same opinion?

Do you mean any luck figuring out the Batch Compiler Setup?

Try using the "Compilation Controller V1.4" From snarkpit.com (can be found under Half-life Utilities)
Included at the website is also a downloadable tutorial for setup.

It is fairly easy, although I don't have any compile programs, nor was able to find one that worked. I tried alot of programs, but non I could get to compile correctly. So I'd suggest the Microsoft C++ but it must be purchased, which I never came up with the money of doing so yet...

I can do this, however, you will need to code the dll. To add the new grunts... If you just edit the fgd file then yes, you will get them in the etities dropdown box, however when the entity is placed in the game it will not appear..

You see I did this with the oposing Force grunts and added there sequences and everything (because I have the latest Hammer {3.5})
but when placed in the map there was nothing because the dll is not edited with the new grunts. This task is very easy to handle, Just get a decompiled dll (sdk source) and copy the hgrunt files but rename them to swat, and edit the cpp and h files (etc) So that there is no "hgrunt.mdl" in it, instead "swat.mdl" Then compile it. and then edit the fgd file.

I would be happy to do this for you, however, I don't have anything to compile the dlls and stuff, thats why I am loking for help as well trying to get someone to add to the dll and compile.. but no luck.

Do you mean an ambient_generic? If not, use the ambient_generic as apposed to the env_ambient.

That would be cool, right now I'm in the process of mixing Them and the Op Force grunts.. to have somewhat of a war like mod against the swat guys and us (op forces)

Nope where not frustratng, things like this happens... All you do is right-click the brush and click tie-to-entity. Once there they'll be the drop down box select the func_wall, there just edit the properties as mentioned in the tutorials.

Looking for somebody to convert for me. I need a crack for Animation Shop Pro so I could'nt use that, AVone Converter, trial time ran out..
and VideoMach seperates the video, and sound, but does'nt load the video. So I can't convert it. So could somebody covert it for me please?
