It's not my computer's problem - Maybe the video card but I doubt it. Physics were a tad jerky, but nothing toooo severe.

There were some NASTY lag spikes, though. And I don't like starting with the weapons - Start w/pistol was much more fun.

dm_overwatch SUCKS in terms of layout - Someone camps with an RPG and kills everyone.

dm_lockdown is great, though.

You don't necessarily have to be 18 - You could have purchased it retail. Gaming stores like EB don't run checks on IDs for M rated games. You would technically have to be 18 to purchase it with a credit card via Steam, however, unless you get your parents to get it for you or something.

You could probably enter it in your parents' name if you're under 18, with their permission of course.

I'd think that the '18+' rule is mainly in place to prevent small, annoying kids for entering n00bish maps that obviously won't win - Older mappers usually = more mature, and know more about what would and wouldn't get accepted and thus they won't get flooded with 'omgz killbox' maps.

We'll either release an add-on mappack or split up and work on our own projects or new mods. I've applied to NW and Forsaken so if either accepts, I'll have work to do. If not, I've gotten a few other various offers.

So it depends on the individual member.

I don't have this problem, but when you assign props to inaccurate types of prop models the game doesn't like it. Trees cannot be physics props, and prop_detail is for procedural details like grass. (ie, not everything gets rendered depending on your render path.)

Nodraw just discards the face. It's like NULL. You should do as chris82 said.

I did this in one area of Sandstorm, by accident. With low-grav you can hide behind some cliffs and see players outside of there, while they cannot see inside.

You'd need to contact VALVe and have them transfer your CDKey to a new account or get a new CDKey to register.

Subst is a rather easy command. I have a batch file that runs the command on startup - You can download it here: http://rabidmonkey.bluewolf72.com/files/substdrive.bat
and modify it to your needs - Just replace your SteamID and the path where you installed Steam and place a shortcut in your startup folder, then run it and it should be good to go.

That's because it uses Game Cache Files instead of Pak files.

You really don't even need to unpack this stuff like models and sounds, Hammer will automatically load them for you with the proper gameinfo setup, and when the proper SDK is released.

I'm getting this annoying portal issue when I'm compiling - I've noticed the ***leaked*** bit, but can't find ANY prop_statics near those coords - Is there an easy way to jump to a certain area if you know the coordinates? I'm confident I could easily fix this, if I could just find the dratted prop_static that's leaking.

This is my hl2dm map I'm also entering into the RUST competition - Many of you may have also seen this posted at Snarkpit.

Well, I've been working at it, and have a decent presentable area of the map I've screenshotted for the compo, though I'm having trouble picking which one to enter. Thats why I'm posting this message - If you wouldn't mind looking at all four of the shots, and choosing one or two that you like, it would help, immensely.

Cheers.
