in Fog Post #293948
Only for CS. Unfortunately, there's no convenient way to create fog in HL without spamming "sprites.
Experiment with additive sprites.

Try this for any color of fog that isn't white:
Make a single-color sprite (the color you want your fog to be. Use render mode "texture" and a very low render amount value -- like 15. Spam those suckers across Hammer and hide them in a vis group when you don't want to look at them.

Keep in mind that sprites ARE NOT advised for large-area fog. You can experiment with simple, stacked, transparent brushes as well if it fits with your map.

Poetry isn't absolutely something that's "written and read" to begin with. You can't possibly tell me you've never heard of oral tradition poetry.

His listed bands included Arch Enemy. Very interesting artist they are; melodic they are not,
Emphasis on guitar riffs + unintelligible screaming lyrics that can be completely overlooked -> my point stands.

It is only lyrics, you can change them into "ama gangsta" and that would be another one shitty (c)rap song...
Rap is not even music, it is just raping with music in background.
I think you've been jaded and don't really know how to judge rap.
First of all, "rap" is more poetry than it is music, and you need to really think about what that means for a second. Now I like more melodic hip-hop myself, but at the same time the fundamental point of rapping isn't to be melodic.
Secondly, you dismissing the lyrics because they could be swapped with "ama gangsta" means you're not looking at rapping the right way. Period. That only works with music where lyrics can be largely ignored (EG: most rock and pop genres). Again, rap is more poetry than music, for better or worse, which means the emphasis is on the lyrics.

I'm sure you've heard the old "there's lots of crap out there for every genre", but that's clearly not your problem. Your problem is that you're looking at it the wrong way right from the get go because the idea that "good music is purely melodic" seems so deeply ingrained in your head.

Then clear this up, because it sounds a lot more strict than you're letting on now:
This means that you cannot talk about the plot elements of Portal 2 AT ALL. This also includes gameplay screenshots, links to youtube videos (without a big spoiler notice), and so on. This is a bannable offense, you will not get any warnings besides this one.
I'm especially concerned with what constitutes a spoiler in your eyes with regards to screenshots. I'd be afraid to post anything at all, because a screenshot showing anything from the game might be considered a spoiler to you based on what you said earlier.

Edit: Fuck it. It's late, I'm tired, this shouldn't even be happening.

Yeah, I found out really quickly that the entire point is to build a map that successfully masks how few brushes there really are. It's hard :)

Crollo, you fucking idiot. For Christ's sake, everything on the fucking planet emits "radiation nonetheless". Nobody ever said that there isn't any fucking radiation. Nobody ever said that this isn't a serious fucking issue. But there's a lot people running around like chickens without heads thinking that Fukushima is some kind of impending fucking apocalypse, and there has been no fucking evidence to suggest that the real situation is anywhere near that.
Yes, there were traces of radiation in the fucking rain. "Traces" means just barely enough to even notice that it's there. They used ocean water to cool the reactor after the fucking earthquake. Of course there is going to be some fucking radiation in the rain. The real thing to worry about is if the entire fucking reactors melt down, which hopefully won't happen thanks to the good people who have been so diligently working on the fucking thing. You are everything that's wrong with the world, and I hope you die in a fucking fire.
FUCK.

I live in a country that got fcked up by NATO radioactive missiles bombarding
Nuclear plants are not missiles. You need to get that misconception out of your head.
If the reactors at Osaka leak fully every one in the world will be affected with deadly radiation.
Just like Chernobyl flooded the entire world with deadly radiation, right? Oh wait.
Chernobyl w after people sat around ignoring very obvious problems. The Fukushima plant is currently only leaking, and the employees are hard at working trying to fix it before it gets any worse.
You cant just sit back and think nothing of it.
I sit back and trust that the engineers working on the fucking thing know what they're doing. Being optimistic or pessimistic from where I'm sitting makes absolutely no difference from where I'm standing. My entire future also depends on the relative well-being of Japan, so I pretty much have to hope for the best for my own sake.

Edit: ^Admittedly, that's probably a foolish, arrogant position.
