i get the metroid part, but the lon-lon thing... i don't hear it.

Its similar to the theme from Valley of the Wind. Which I saw recently, and felt inspired.

all of the videos are still on the Moddb account. if you tards could read, I cleaned off my space that m0p is kindly providing.

6D autosaves at the beginning of each stage in spots that won't glitch.
I'm well aware of that stuff.

Also, I finally composed a theme!

Video is usually better. I resorted to it because many weren't understanding what they were seeing. Even then a voiceover can explain things to help hype people up.

videos are broken? argh....

oh yeah, i cleaned out my thing for m0p. I don't know how much space i really have. Sorry.

My first order of business is a new demo. within 2 or 3 weeks. I'm already going over abstracts for the training grounds. I will throw out some screenshots once i have something finished.

Progress has been slow for a few weeks because its final exams at my school. But after thursday i'm finally free to develop 6D!

in Texture creation help? Post #224778
on the menu bar:

[Image] > [Mode] > [Indexed Color...]

This will turn your textur into a 256 color paletted file. It optimizes the color in several ways. You can choose some settings to see what you like best.

Then after that, you save the image as a .BMP

Letting Wally index the color can be slow. I don't do it.

As far as textures go, photoshop can paint the seams away useing the "Healing Brush" Tool.

First go to [Filter] > [Other] > [Offset] and move the sliders until you can clearly see the edges in the middle.

Select the Healing Brush and paint them away. Tip: Use a brush shape with a hard edge so it doesn't look cloned and crappy.

Any other questions I am willing to answer.

And sorry the texturing book was incomplete in the gift. Way too many pages to scan on a very limited amount of time. I could complete the book and reupload it sometime :/

well.... either you hate yourself or love yourself and you get some from you're female counterpart.

If you hate yourself.... you're in the wrong dimension! so you now need to look for the one where you're female AND you like yourself

You can't cease to be because there will be a reality where you failed to stop yourself, or even decided not to.

Even, there is a dimension out there with a female version of yourself. Thats the only reason I'd EVER go through dimensions.

infinite amount of quantum dimensions solves that one.

But if both realities continue as they do but you're on a different path, and since you left one reality, you dissappeared from that one and there are now two of you on the path you just joined.

You could continuesly visit other paths of time to create an army.

give me $1200 for computer parts and then I can do all of the models you like. :badass:

I'm saving up for parts to put an super computer together.
I have now a processor that is just short of a quad-core.

I need a nice monitor, power supply, keyboard/mouse and later a vid card capable of running newer games.

I probably would still refuse to move to source. I've chosen to map, model, and texture for HL1.

You didn't get it? Eeeeee its no longer available.

Also, models with transparency is done like you would do a normal transparent texture for hammer. Only you enable it in the Model viewer and save as somewhere. Likewise for chrome and additive. I use jed's model viewer, it can enable that stuff.

Can I contribute some 2 cents into this project?

Muzz got the resources to do new fonts, loading icons, and a few other graphics. As well, i can do the console and loading image if you don't already have them done.

Mainly, do you guys want a new font for screen text?

in Half life Still in its prime? Post #224074
I think Source is in its prime because its on the cutting edge of graphics and technology right now (p0rtal). Half-Life is still around because its easy to develope for and seems n00by compared to HL2 stuff compared to todays standards.

I got a case of that before where people thought I was mapping for source. In fact, I got bashed for using a Brush based editer and a BSP system. That was rather weird.

I don't think HL1 is in its prime as a game, but for the modding community its in its prime.

More or less, Valve is in its prime. If I could code, I would continue the spirit project and make it rival source tremendously, not in graphics, but in technology. Like more useful entities and a simple equation system so minipulating numbers is easy. So its a powerful tool for modding rather than for making maps with fancy crap. Thusly introducing the 6D vs. p0rtal complex.
