I believe you can. It says that it is free for personal and commercial use. It certainly looks interesting. It seems some of the cooler features are only included with Unity Pro though, which is $1,499. Also, if you or your company make over $100,000 you have to purchase the pro version. Hell, if I made over $100,000 I'd buy Unity Pro and then fly to their office and shag them all.

From a casual gamer like you I even don't feel insulted.
Lol'd at the concept of Huntey ever being a 'Casual' gamer.

Playing casual games does not make you a casual gamer.

Don't forget, Popcap games make quirky 2D titles for the PC and are raking in the green.

2DBoy too, made World of Goo. In their recent "Pay what you want for World of Goo" stunt, they made in excess of 100k. (I think it was)

I contacted Valve about purchasing a license to the Source engine.

They informed me that they have: "...a very reasonable 6 figure price..." and that they would only discuss terms as and when I have a company set up and ready to go.

As for the Goldsource engine, I wouldn't think it would be as expensive as Source, but it would still be a fair amount. However it is an incredibly dated engine these days in comparison to Source or Unreal3. Sure it is versatile, but it still has its limits.

If you are deadly serious about making a game for commercial release, you're going to need coders who are willing to work for free. If you can get them, then you may as well develop your own engine from the ground up.

Not a big fan of machinima videos but I am taken by the occasional GMod video. Most of them are utter shit, which makes the Idiot Box series really stand out from the crowd.

Well finished it and enjoyed every last second. The extended section was brilliant.

As I mentioned on steam, I also see the missing face in the transmitter dome as screenied by JeffMOD. Also I gibbed on the final elevator, so I blew up the Agrunt corpse and that sorted it. Maybe have it fade away in the next version?

Other than that, congratulations. This gave me a good 40 minutes of enjoyment.
Very nice work. :D

I'm about to try 1.1

Just browsed the models, I can already tell that barney.mdl has been decompiled in Milkshape at some point. :/

Animations are screwed. They work and everything, but animations which require the model to move forward or back (dying animations or being dragged) are stuck on the spot.)

I would like to help you out with this, I would. My company offers a years technical support, an hours free training and a fully optimised E-commerce system which shows up on the first page of google.

However, this would come to about ?800GBP+ which is a bit steep for sole traders in todays climate.

Man, see this is why I never bother with this kind of stuff. I say, your ideal weight is what makes you comfortable, not what some chart tells you. If your fat and unhappy, deal with it. If your fat and happy then who gives a flying monkey turd?
