Theres a normal map plugin for PhotoShop and VTFEdit has this built in as well.

I used to love designing and sketching space ships when I was younger (side on / top down floorplan view) but I never considered mapping one...

A few more things to add.

I played the household for an hour the other night (2 days in-game) to get the members settled in and used to the house. It also gave me an idea up in this bitch as to how each member behaved and what issues there were with the game itself.

Updates from Test Days:

[i]- Had to remove the vending machines in the Hallway. Maybe its a game issue, maybe its just my copy but they were bugged. The Sims would walk over, spend about a minute thinking about what to buy and then walk away without buying anything. The problem is that they would go to the machine when they got hungry, do the usual thing, not eat and then forget they were hungry. There was a lot of members standing around shouting about food.
  • Added stereo system.
  • Hunter is now ghey for Tosse. (kidding)
  • Removed Urby's hat
  • Members won't walk around for a day clapping at all their new furniture[/i]

Ok. Hit a snag.

Was supposed to get up first thing and record up in this bitch but my alarm is FAIL and I woke up around noon. As it happens I haven't got time to do this now as I have a ton of stuff to do around the house before I go out tonight.

Friday. Without Fail.

Also seeing as Friday is my regular day off (switched a shift today) I can actually make it a weekly thing from then on.

Don't worry. I'm not bailing on this again! :)

Well, I guess it won't work then...

This is what one of the youtube vids says:
Q: How do you play Cooperation with other players / Single player maps with others?
A: You launch "Half-Life Deathmatch: Source" (you need also "Half-Life: Source" installed)

Then open a server with one of the maps from the list. And then you open your console (~ button, to the left if your number 1 button on the keyboard)

You type there the next: changelevel c1a0
this will change your map to c1a0, which is where you start off Half-Life single player (or storyline)
If that doesn't work then you've messed something up on your end.

Yeah so you may or may not recall this thread and note that it closed with my saying I needed a new to record at decent framerates and that I needed to rebuild the house and a load of other crap.

Well, I got all that now.

The plan is to record amusing events over the course of 24 minute games (24 Hours / 1 Day Sims time) and narrate over the top.

Well yes. Anyone can do that. The same way hundreds of mappers including our very own Hunter have been mapping for Left 4 Dead for months despite the SDK not being available.

Also, if your mapping for Black Mesa then you don't need to edit the HL2 zombie, just wait for the mod to come out. :P

If thats not what you were trying to say, then I don't understand either.

However, if you're talking about the official Black Mesa fgd, then that would be stolen material!

Uhm, I already drink Vodka (sometimes neat), Tequila (sometimes neat), Scotch (on the rocks) and the occasional Rum.

Oh and should the mood take me I drink white / ros? wine. Not a fan of red but thats all I have in at the moment.

Anyway, the point is, I rarely drink or feel the need to these days.

Funny thing is, as soon as its legal, alcohol seems pretty boring after a while. I'm 22 and the last time I got drunk was a couple of years ago.

F.E.A.R 2. In a nutshell. Think FEAR with better graphics. Combat is still flat and uninspired and the actual 'fear' aspect is a little bit...well...shit.

I had NVidia but I got a new ATi for Xmas. I can run all the latest games on Ultra High settings but I can't run a mapping app for a game released in 1998!? It's bollocks.

I would gladly go back to NVidia but that would mean spending vast amounts of money that I do not have. :(

Bad news guys. Just loaded up hammer first time with my new components and guess what. Cannot select anything in 3D window. The fix causes PC to restart. I'm out. I also have to cancel my 2 mods :(

I still have no access to my Hard Drive but in light of the fact that my room was made off poo and ass I have decided to restart my room and actually make more of an effort in terms of gameplay.

Its better this way, trust me.
