I'm using the Serious Sam 3: BFE Enhanced mod as well as the Ultimate Resource Pack.

Pretty tough indeed.

Enderman don't destroy redstone. They only pick up blocks described here: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Enderman#Moving_blocks

Your redstone is safe.

So trying to breed villagers was getting annoying and pissing me off
I know right? I'm playing on a different server where I had the same problem, I couldn't get my villagers to breed by letting them plant and harvest crops. They just wander around and not doing anything with the potatoes I threw at them. Sure, you can trade with them to make them 'willing' but that's not what I wanted, at least not yet.

Then it hit me: the mobGriefing gamerule. If set to false, which is the case on both my TWHL server and the one I play on, Creepers don't damage terrain and Enderman don't pickup blocks. I don't have a problem with Creepers blowing things up, but I do have a problem with Enderman taking random blocks and damaging the terrain like that. So that's why I have mobGriefing set to false. But guess what: setting the mobGriefing gamerule to false also stops farmer villagers from picking up, planting and harvesting crops! Well damn HELLS BLAZES FRICKER! User posted image

So, I can either:

1. Re-enable mobGriefing. Creepers and Enderman can damage terrain again, but farmer villagers can finally pickup, plant, harvest and share crops with other villagers to make them willing to breed.

2. Keep mobGriefing disabled. No Creeper and Enderman damage but farmer villagers will NOT pickup, plant, harvest and share crops with other villager. The only way to make them willing to breed is to trade with them.

Great, but I'm not going to use that any more. Generating the map is way too time consuming and eats up tons of disk space. And then you have to upload the whole thing which is also time consuming.

If you're going to replay it, install those add-ons I linked to a couple posts up.

I am now in the Lambda Reactor Complex. The game crashed about 20 times since I started playing, it's pretty unstable at the later chapters. :/

in My Half-Life (Goldsource) Mod doesn't wo Post #321481
You're missing the 'gamedir' key in your liblist.gam file. It holds the name of your mod folder, for example, if your mod resides in my_mod, the gamedir key would be:

gamedir "my_mod"

You should not use spaces in your mod folder.

If you're making a singleplayer mod, the mpentity key is not needed.

Also make sure that the map 'train1' is placed in my_mod/maps. Then it should load fine.

Splash screens in Steam HL are set up differently, see: http://twhl.info/tutorial.php?id=96

Yep, it's On a Rail Uncut. I have also installed Surface Tension Uncut.

I have also installed the Black Mesa Animation Revamp pack as I didn't really like the original weapon animations. With this pack, weapon animations are much better.

We could also do it like this: the first place winner gets to CHOOSE his prize, second place winner after that and then the third place winner. So if the first place winner chooses the Minecraft code, too bad for the second and third place winners.

While it is true that CT's entry was unfinished, and lacked detail in some area's, i really liked the way he made those pods hanging from the rail. Crazy detail, great brushwork, even though texture alignment didn't look too great on those but, I somehow like his crazy style. He even knows how to make ugly dev textures look good.
You may disagree, but this is how I feel.

As for lajron's entry, it looked really good but you kinda sorta went outside the boundaries of the basemap. Yes I know they're just inaccessible area's that you can't go to, but still.
Maybe I didn't make it clear enough that you're not supposed to extend the basemap by adding brushwork beyond it. If that's the case, I'm sorry. Hope you don't feel too bad about it.

And yes, I do agree I should have let Rimrook take a look at the entries as he's the basemap designer before I made the final decision. Now that I think of it, it's kinda stupid that I didn't. Again, my apologies.

Even though the original plan was to have only 1 winner, there are actually 2 winners.

I will do better next minicompo.

I've played through all your entries. Good stuff. It's tough to make a decision, all are well made.
Hmm.
If I could I'd buy you all a MC code but that would be insane.

Ok, I've made my decision. Keep an eye on your PM inbox for your Minecraft code.
