in CS 1.6 Weapon restrictions in a map Post #297097
Yeah, same goes for es_ maps.
Try decompiling it, see if there's anything special there. Check the entity report for any odd stuff.

That or it might automatically restrict some of the weapons for Ts if any of the as_ specific entities (vip_escape_zone, etc.) are found in the map. Doubt it's a bug either way - was probably just some weird early attempt at balancing the gametype.

I love the idea, but finding a tune that everybody can bare on loop might take forever. I suggest going for oldies/classics (think 50s-80s pop) - those usually have the broadest listener range.

And if they say that they want to do marriage (from the Bible), shouldn't do they it by the rules? "Man and woman", as said in the Bible?
By marriage we don't mean a huge christian ceremony at your nearest church w/ the vows, etc. The issue is legally marrying someone of the same sex.

The point is that gay couples aren't allowed to register a civil partnership under governments that disapprove of it. Thus they never receive any of the social benefits normal married/registered couples do.

I'm fine with churches not accepting same sex weddings if it's against the beliefs, but basing legislation on religious doctrine is utterly bullshit (and most likely unconstitutional in some democracies)
Christians thought dinosaur bones were either faked, or placed there by Satan to test their faiths. Even today, some people are still crazy enough to think that dinosaurs lived with man 4000 years ago.
That's creationism, and it's really not a part of mainstream christianity. Those folk are definitely a minority as far as I know.
Know what else he believes in because he read it in a book?
Yeah.
Never liked that argument. He was deranged to say the very least. You can't judge the whole group based on that.

Anyhow, just believe in what you like as far as I'm concerned. Whatever set of rules/principles you follow in life, if you're not hurting anyone, and if you try to give back to society - you're doing it right.

I've been building a giant Bender head for a while now. Over 10k stone blocks used so far. No cheats/editors were used in acquiring the materials, or building the actual thing. Gonna turn it into a massive HQ base when I have the time.

A few outdated progress shots:

The visor is finished at its current state, along with the top being covered in stone half-blocks to prevent mob spawning. Also, most of the water underneath the head has been drained. I'll try and get a shot of those once our server goes back up.

Building on ice saved me a great deal of time as far as dealing with mobs goes, even though the water draining is taking absolutely forever to finish.

It's pretty massive, and I'm not too sure how to use up all the space inside (what is basically a 49x49x64 cylinder), but I have some fairly epic stuff planned for it. :crowbar:

Imageshack does remove inactive uploads. There's plenty of old posts w/ broken images due to that.
Not much you can do about it though, no free host could afford to keep them on forever. And it's still way better than photobucket, etc.

Without any modifications, you can freely move in a 16384*16384 area (never actually measured, but that seems about right). That's double the dimensions you normally have.
And while you can't walk beyond that without modifying the delta.lst, everything seems to render fine, so the rest of it should be perfectly suitable for static scenery.
I've tested it in CS w/o any modifications to the game and it worked fine. Definitely finicky, but still an interesting opportunity.

This is pretty awesome. Too bad you'd run into limitations before you could fully utilize the extra space.

Either way, I've made a few quick changes to the SHLT 3.9 CSG tool to support the large maps, as the one included in the original toolkit was based on an ancient ZHLT version. Download the new one here:

SHLT 3.9 with GSBMT support

Here's a quick test map compiled with SHLT, filling out the entire 32768*32768 area.
Have fun!

I feel you on that one, it really is a game-ruining issue. I think we should actually revise the ranking algorithm all together.
What if deaths were to be subtracted from your total kill count? I also think we should count team kills as kills (as you do technically kill someone when TKing). Or maybe a separate column for TK in /top15, which factors in to your total rank?

I'll do the math and get back to you. Just hang in there for now, soldier!

Also restricting automated snipers is a good thing (SG550 and G3/SG1). Especially you should restrict G3/SG1 since its a bug sniper, when it shoots you you cant move, too over powered.
Awp is one shot one kill (most of the time), but this can eliminate a group of people in one clip. Thats why its banned on every normal public server.
Not going to ban any weapons on this. This really isn't some proper serious or "normal" public server - it's just there to mess around. Since it's private, we shouldn't be getting any random assholes who would really abuse the weapons, and none of the TWHLers I've played with so far seemed to have been too annoying with any of those weapons.
You should add stats.amxx and roundstats.amxx It shows who has most kills, who did how much damage, how much damage you recieved, how much hp does your killer have left, etc etc. Plus it has TOP15 function and rank function.
It's always been enabled. Have you been on the server at all? :P

Finally got around to disabling some of the tournament plugins in the server.
Also added a bunch of new maps, starting with every original/official beta CS map that's been removed on/before 1.6 (thanks to this handy guide)

as_forest
as_highrise
as_riverside
as_tundra

cs_alley1
cs_arabstreets
cs_bunker
cs_desert
cs_docks
cs_facility
cs_hideout
cs_iraq
cs_mansion
cs_prison
cs_ship
cs_station
cs_tire
cs_wpndepot
cs_zoption

de_fang
de_foption
de_railroad
de_rotterdam
de_vegas

es_frantic
es_jail
es_trinity

.. and ome random oldskool TWHL CS maps:
de_priory
de_vine
cs_mountain
de_deep1
de_sahara
de_chasm
de_ramses
de_iridium
de_crete2

Also, de_deep6, an awesomely crafted custom map from back in the day.

Those, along with the retro tournament maps should make for some fun times on the server. I've even re-added the default maps to the cycle. They're up on the fast d/l server too, so no need to worry about downloading.
If you have any other map suggestions, feel free to post them in the thread.

I don't have the time to organize another tournament right now, but if you folks feel like taking a break from Portal 2 for a while, and organizing something yourself, let me or Hunter know, and we'll see what we can do.
