in Sizeing Right? Post #223365
I always have the problem on brush sizes, if I first start a map, and get a layout going. It's ether way to big, or just somehow mis-shapended. I know hammer shows the dimensions of the current bursh you have select, but that doesn't seem to help much. Does anyone have any tips on getting correct sizes?

Should you split up brushes, or when would it be needed? Like so:

Would this be better in one large brush? I usually make my brushes large, and extend them, instead of making individuals. But i see a lot of maps using small, individual brushes. Is this just a mapping style, or does it help performance?

Why is it anytime i'm mapping, i'll get a problem were something doesn't line up (On the grid). For example:

The selected brush, will not line up with that other brush (Blue one).
Changing the grid size didn't help ether.
