Just an update on the prizes. Noesis has decided to sponsor the contest and is now offering their 'training modules' as additional prizes. For anyone who doesn't know, Noesis makes Source development tutorials. A list of them can be found here.

So, the new prizes are as follows:

1st: $70 USD OR Up to $70 USD worth of Steam gifts, plus 3 Noesis training modules of your choice
2nd: $50 USD OR Up to $50 USD worth of Steam gifts, plus 2 Noesis training modules of your choice
3rd: $35 USD OR Up to $35 USD worth of Steam gifts, plus 1 Noesis training module of your choice

That may spark some interest in a few of you guys.

Sadly it doesn't look like Omega has any drivers for the HD4k series. Good luck setting up an alternate computer, or whatever it is you plan on doing. :D

There's actually a few fixes for using Hammer with ATI cards.

One method is to install the OMEGA version of the drivers. See here: http://www.svencoop.com/forums/showpost.php?p=426743&postcount=54

Another method is to download the 7.08 drivers (I have them hosted here: http://jpolito.zlique.org/files/7-8_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_50960-%5bguru3d%5d.rar ), unpack them, and navigate to C:\ATI\SUPPORT\7-8_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_50960\Driver\Driver\XP_INF\B_51322\ (Location may vary, depending on where you installed the driver installation files for 7.08 drivers). Copy atioglxx.dl_ and paste it into the same folder as your hammer EXE file, and rename it to atioglxx.dll. Open Hammer, and you should be able to select things in the 3D view again. The only issue is that the 3D view will travel ultra slow when you have 'textured' mode enabled. Try flatshaded and it will work smoothly again.

Greetings old chaps. I'm simply here to announce that the Half-Life 1 modification known as Sven Co-op is holding a mapping contest. Apart from general quality, the main criteria is that maps be unique and unconventional.

Three grand prize winners will be chosen, and will be awarded the following prizes:

1st: $70 USD OR Up to $70 USD worth of Steam gifts
2nd: $50 USD OR Up to $50 USD worth of Steam gifts
3rd: $35 USD OR Up to $35 USD worth of Steam gifts

All three grand prize winners will also receive an official Sven Co-op T-shirt and the opportunity to have their maps included with the next version of Sven Co-op. All other qualifying entries will be released in an official map pack.

So, if any of you are interested, see the Sven Co-op site for rules and entry details.
