I decompiled that map and played with it.. Maybe I should give the specs of the ferris wheel. It might take longer coz the PLDT (the provider for phone and Internet) cables was still down at our town.

edit:ignore the last question..back to the topic.

it's memory allocation failure, sorry.

what could be the probable reasons..? I've deleted the underside of the skybox and also chopped it into pieces.. Do I have to divide large things into pieces? When I played the lighted version of the map I've found out that there were holes in the water. So I fixed it with extending the brushes and merging it with other brushes...

I'm making a map with a stupid battleship and I have it 'floating' over a partitioned sea. Of course its lighted up. I've got an alloc failure before I've partitioned the sea coz it was a titanic slab of water. After partitioning that stupid sea I've got that map compiled perfectly with lights on. And while I'm compiling that thing, I was playing GL-117!!! Assuming that it will not face any problems anymore, I've copy pasted a modified and more decent-looking battleship. It has longer stern than the earlier ship. But this time that alloc failure has appeared again! I did everything, I've also partitioned the skybox, and the ship, but still failed. What could be the problem?!

...and another question, how to do HTML stuff in the forums??

Thank you guys for help, but the operations that Cleric cited did not work. i've also tried to work out the radius and speed of the ferris wheel in Absolute Redemption with r2*pi/speed-of-rotation but it didn't have the same values the trains & wheels had.

I'm currently making a test for a ferris wheel. But I can't get the speed of the gondola right. the gondola gets slower than the ferris wheel, and I have a hard time getting it right. Could you help me by giving me the formula/operation? Here's the problem:

in ERROR: origin and clip brush Post #220408
I want to clarify some things...

I have received some error during compile in hlcsg and says that there is an origin and clip brush and there should be at least 1 normal, then results to some textbox saying "The system cannot find the file specified".

but when I removed the Clip & origin brushes, there is a leak.

Is this leak the culprit of this error? Or there are too many clip brushes in the game?

in 'qrad.exe encountered a problem' Post #220219
Need your help, when I compile my map, it manages to go through compiling, but the qrad.exe stops execing and says that "qrad.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". I've checked the compile log and the execing of qrad seems to be empty. What am I supposed to do?

Does the Source engine allows multiple objects in diferrent gravity (e.g. Spider-Man)? I haven't seen the capabilities of the engine yet.
