Earlier Tuesday afternoon, my roommate's mom, Venetta Simon, died at age 59 of complications from cancer. I was around when she died.

Please say a prayer for her soul, and for her family.

shakes head in disgust Always has to be ONE jerk out of the bunch.

Imagine this scenario.....

You witness a woman slowly dying of cancer being spread throughout her vital organs. She is in the hospital for several weeks, which EVERY DAY OF IT sees you at that hospital to see her fade away! She is in-and-out of ICU a couple times, operated on, then when she is put in ICU the very last time, she fades to nothing! SHE DIES! Then 20 minutes later you are let in there to say goodbye. You walk into a room which smells like a fish that has been out of water for 2 hours, and you try not to be freaked out by what has happened!

Does that sound stupid to you? It certainly is [u][i]NOT[/u][/i] stupid to me or my roommate which doesn't know whether she should grieve, or just ignore the fact that her ONLY PARENT REMAINING is now lying in a mortuary somewhere waiting to be cremated because she can't afford the funeral or burial services!

Yeah dajuppi, at least pretend to show repect, even if you don't mean it. Or, preferably mean it. I believe you pissed off esmajor, a lot.

I know this is slightly strange and I won't say stupid to avoid abuse but in a way this is attention seeking as well. Not that he is the only one.

My point being that everyone likes attention and although this thread is odd you must still respect the dead.
If you don't you might be haunted and I am being serious cause I believe in this thing.

It is sad that she died from such a horrible thing and she wasnt even that old. You have my condolences.

Habboi, I'm not really trying to get attention, I'm just merely trying to bring recognition to people with Cancer. This woman did not have to pass the way she did.

If ANYONE is ever diagnosed and treated with radiation... if you have any pain that is described as an effect of the radiation you received months before, GET A SECOND OPINION! You will thank yourself for it in the short AND long run!

The best way to get attention or recognition in a mapping community is to produce quality work but meh, I'm dragging it off topic
