I am new to this so bear w/me. I made a test map to see if things would work and i got this error:any one know why?

Wow. never saw this b4. My only suggestion would be to reinstall everything: HL, VHE, FGD, ZHLT.

I know that bug,, umm,, I think you just need to restart, and if you are using steam, try shuting steam off and then compile, if that doesn't work, restart.
It worked for me

That's not necessary. All you need to do is read the "Running a BSP" tutorial and run your maps manually in DoD instead of having "Run game after compile" checked in Hammer.

Oh yeah, i guess I should have looked at the compile more closely--I was throuwn off by the dll error. You should never have the 'run game after compile' thingy checked, if you do.
