Hello Everybody, i'm quite a n00b in the mapping-business, but i'm learning a lot through the tutorials on this website, so I think a big thans U is appropriate.
Currently i'm trying learn everything about texture lights in Half-Life 1, in my map (1 room actually i placed an info_texlights and tried to make one of the lightfixtures in the room flicker. Making this work proved to be no problem at all, making it look good is an altogether different story though. The normal texlight look good enough, but the light emitted from the flickering texlight (ties to an func_wall) entity look realy CRAP, the light and the shadows it cast are just damn ugly.
I used the lastest compiletools en the -extra switch for HLRAD, but it still look like crap. I tried searchin on the forums, but could not find an answer to this problem. Does anybody know what to do?
