OKay I've seen the example map that someone put up in the vault... here's my question... like in HL1, can you have the camera either pan back-and-forth or at least follow an entity (or the player?)

PS- I noticed you can put cameras in HL2, and HL2 Deathmatch... why not CS:S? I think it would be a cool thing to have in CS... be able to tell if your teammates are coming up the stairs or an enemy.

I don't even see a camera or func_monitor in the CS:S setup in hammer...

Valve were stupid and forgot to put the entities in the fgd!
A nice guy made a new FGD though with these entities in or you could just add the HL2 FGD as well!

It says to replace the fgd's I have in hammer with those fgd's (one for each, HL2 and CS:S...) are the UPDATED or are they missing any objects? I can't really seem to make heads or tails of it to really be able to tell...

Upon using that fgd, I made a map and tried to play it... kept saying both teams were full - although they werent. ALso the models for the CT's and T's were the same you see as Gordon's model... a green guy.

I had tyo switch back out - I suppose I cant use a camera then.

Is there any way to ADD that to the CURRENT fgd I have?

I dont know anything about FGD editing - otherwise I'd just go and find the camera and monitor ents and put THEM in only.

As you guys know I've been toying with the camera stuff.

Since my example map, I've managed to even attach a cam to a tumbling barrel..... the thing tumbles with the barrel.

I must apologize to those who are thinking "So, what?"

I'm just really psyched out about the physics and capabilities of HL2 mapping.

FGDs are just plain text. Open 'em in Notepad and have a fiddle.
