Yo,
I created a map and had choose a grass texture for the ground. when i played the grass was 3D... way cool...But when i used the same texture on a different map and tested it it was only 2D(no grass sticking up). Why does this happen?

N.B: Using displacement on the 2nd surface...

Not sure. Have you changed the properties of the ground the grass is on?

The displacement isn't high enough for all of it to be above the sprite grass, is it? I mean, it's not, like, a hundred units above the base brush?

3d grass bits probably don't work on displacment would be my guess. No fuckin clue why.

For a material in a map to show sprites on it it needs to be defined in a .txt file wiht the map name. You may have picked a name wich already excisted in a .txt file.

Though im not sure about this, correct me if im wrong but i recall it was something like this when a mate showed me the effect, i was quiet impressed of the lush green fields.
