OK,I have decided to dl acopy of Fedora Core 4l inux, and I am wondering where to find drivers for my GeForceFX 5600 Ultra w/128MB of ram. And my MX510 Logitech mouse.

If anyone had any infoon this, it would be MUCH appreciated.

P.S; How do I get Half-Life 2/CSS Working on this?

My guess is that both your mouse and video card work without installing any extra drivers. It might be worth downloading the newest NVIDIA Linux drivers from here.

You can play Half-Life 2 and numerous other games with Cedega. You can find a few good How-Tos about Cedega and other Linux gaming related things from here.

The reasonI'm trying to switch is Ihave a completely empty 80GB Hard Drive sitting inmy comp right now, and I'm sick and tired of windows acting slow for no reason.

For your mouse, grab a program called logitech_applet. It let's you change the dpi to 800, which you can't do without this app. You also need libusb to use logitech_applet. And as for your graphics card, go on nvidia's site and grab the official drivers.

You could also use wine for steam...
Posted 19 years ago2005-06-22 18:02:57 UTC Post #116225
No no no, don't use plain Wine! Get Cedega, which natively supports Steam and HL2. It's like ?1 a month, or $2 for you americans.

ooo.

My Fedora CD won't boot.
Posted 19 years ago2005-06-23 14:27:35 UTC Post #116437
Have you setup your BIOS to boot from the CD, and when you burnt the image, did you make sure you enabled the bootable superblock on the disk (some programs don't do this for you automaticly)?

In en_GB, labor is spelt labour ;)

And if you don't know what the en_ means, it's a standard of writing locales. USA is en_US. The en means english! :) One more bit of use(less)ful info.
