How do you get a barney to not open the door until you have your suit on? Its important for my map :o.

have something like a trigger_once over the suit so that when you take the suit it will trigger a multimanager or something which'll make barney say something like ''i'll let you right on through sir'' and then go to open the door or do a retinal scanner or whatever you plan to do

When you will get that suit it will target a trigger's master! When that master is on the trigger will be able to target the scripted_seqeance that opens the door! If you want the burney to say something if you don't wear the suit you will the trigger will target a scripted_sentence,and forget about that master. The suit will target a trigger_changetarget that changes the trigger's target to that scripted_seaquence that opens the door! ;)

Hmmm...you don't need trigger_once over the suit you need the suit to target something!(with the target value) When the suit will be taken it will target that object!!! :lol:

yeh, but i was just thinking on trigger wise. Besides. You'd need a multisource. The suit is one trigger and there could be a trigger_once near barney to simulate that he sees you with the suit on. And because its a multisource when walking past him it without HEV i doesnt trigger his sequence or whatever.

A multiscource is a master but trigger_changetarget are usally better! :lol: In here I used trigger_changetarget in stead of multiscource and it tarned out better- http://twhl.co.za/mapvault/13103_c.zip ;)

Ok Ive figured it out, there is a trigger_once that will trigger a scripted_sentence from barney (you need your hev suit). Walking over the Hev suit Kills the trigger once, and then there is another trigger once that triggers a sequence of the barney opening the door (multi manager if i want him to say something as well.)

Lol :) That wasnt me, I beta tested that. Im a friend of the maker.

Ok right now something has to be f'ed up. Im doing everything right (I hope) but he wont push the button after he does his thing, im going to upload the map to problem section.

okay, one. Have you got barneys action facing the door? Is the action you want PROPERLY defined in the little box in the scripted_sequences propertys that ask for which action you want to use? Is its name 100% accuratly written on the multimanagers trigger list? If those dont work then try different methods of triggering. Like a multisource or trigger_changetarget?
